Un prototype est un modèle préliminaire. Lorsqu'un projet a pour but la fabrication d'un produit physique, le créateur doit présenter un prototype fonctionnel à ses contributeurs. Cette galerie de photos, de vidéos et d'éléments visuels montre aux contributeurs ce qui a été accompli et ce qu'il reste à faire. Le processus de développement est susceptible de varier d'un projet à l'autre, mais les étapes typiques sont les suivantes :

A jumbo-display clock, clear audio speaker, dual-USB charging port, gesture-controlled nightlight and a revolutionary wireless bed shaker that wakes you up silently with a gentle motion. Perfect for those who need extra vibration to be woke-up or don`t want to disturb the other one on the bed, and it’s the alarm clock that you have been waiting for.
Wireless Bed Shaker
We realize that not everyone gets up at the same time. The wireless vibration disc is the perfect way to be woken with a gentle, silent vibration. Place it near you to wake up without disturbing others.
The vibration disc is also helpful for those who are hearing impaired or require an extra nudge to get moving in the morning.
Time Sync & Jumbo-Display
Sync the time couldn’t be easier. Simply connect C2 to your iPhone and the correct time will automatically sync with the phone in 12 or 24 hour format.
The 3.2 inch LCD time display is big enough to see clearly at a glance and easy on the eyes with multiple brightness levels that automatically to for ambient light conditions.
Speaker
C2 includes a discrete and great sounding internal speaker to stream music from your phone. Choose the perfect music for your mood and enjoy it from the comfort of your bed to get your day started.
Dual USB Charging
C2 is also a convenient bedside device charger. It’s MFI certified for safe, intelligent charging of Apple products and any other USB powered mobile devices.
With two USB ports and charging indicators, C2 is capable of safe, fast, dual simultaneous charging of phones and mobile devices so you will always start your day with full power.
Gesture-Controlled Nightlight
If you need to get up in the night, C2 is ready. It features a unique soft nightlight function to provide just enough light for tired eyes to safely see without waking others.
Best of all, the nightlight is gesture-controlled and can be turned On or Off quickly and easily with a gentle wave of the hand over the top button.
Dial to Set Alarm/Time
Setting your alarm shouldn’t be a chore! No complicated buttons to hold and set, with the C2 simply turn the smooth and accurate rotary dial to the desired wake up time, press ‘Set’ and you are done.
C2 will wake you reliably every time and one simple push of the top button will turn off the alarm and start your day. Don’t worry! We have also included a ‘Snooze’ feature for those days when you need a few extra minutes of rest.
C2 & Wireless Bed Shaker
For C2 we built off the award winning the design of our previous version and improved the aesthetics and user design for a compact and clean, modern bedside device.
We’re a tight group of friends with varied areas of expertise, including industrial design and home audio equipment. We’re young (well, most of us!), dynamic and creative. Through our previous products, we have gained a great deal of experience with successful consumer audio product design and manufacturing.
We share a common goal: to create brilliant devices that make time at home more relaxing and enjoyable, whether it’s spent quietly or with family and friends. We are excited to bring you C2 and share our vision with the world.
Risques et défis
As with all new projects, there are a few risks and challenges involved with the making of C2. Luckily, this isn’t our first product and we have excellent preparations and contingencies in place…
Manufacturing process:
We rigorously test our prototypes to ensure that they are ready for production and stay true to the original design when handed over to the manufacturer. However, the C2 may require a few changes to meet manufacturing and certification requirements. We will keep our supporters updated in the event that any changes are made during manufacturing and we will ensure that they do not affect the original design.
Mass production:
Large-scale manufacturing of even the simplest of products is a time-sensitive and complex process. The people, parts and processes involved must all perform in adherence to quality standards, and even one hitch in this system may cause a serious delay. Should anything of this nature happen, we promise to exert our best efforts to fix the situation and we will keep our supporters posted regarding any changes or developments in the production process or schedule.
