Piven Theatre Workshop's American premiere of Tusk Tusk is seeking to attract fresh, new audiences to the theatre. The play tells the explosive story of London siblings left to fend for themselves after their mother goes missing. Written by British playwright Polly Stenham, one of the youngest playwrights to have a work premiere at the Royal Court Theatre and on the West End, the play confronts us with a blunt yet touchingly funny artistic voice that speaks directly to a youthful generation facing a world of both promise and uncertainty.
Piven has a long and storied history of providing an exploration ground for young artists--the likes of Jeremy Piven, John Cusack, and Sarah Ruhl--to hone their skills and establish their passions. As a non-profit organization, we constantly explore new methods of fundraising to supply us with the means to continue educating and inspiring emerging and young artists. Half of our revenue is traditionally raised through donations. Your contribution, no matter the size, is crucial to providing the funding necessary to mount this production and to supporting the artists, designers, and actors who are lending their talent.
Don't just donate. Be a part of the project. Come and see the powerful work that is happening at Piven!
And don't forget to buy your tickets! They can be purchased at http://piventheatre.org/current.htm, or by calling the box office directly at (847) 866-8049.
