Linux Update and AdventureX

Posted by Steve Hoogendyk (Creator)

Hello Backers,

It’s time for another quick update!

Linux Update

We would like to start by thanking our Linux Backers for their patience as we've been working on getting a Linux Build of Lilly Looking Through ready in time for Christmas.

Our current goal is to have a playable version of the Linux Build ready by next week. All Linux Backers will be receiving an email directly from us with detailed instructions on how to download and play the game.

Note: If you're a Linux Backer and haven’t received an email from us by December 18th feel free to message us directly through Kickstarter.
Adventure X

AdventureX is an annual event held in London for adventure and story based game developers. This past weekend some of our friends attended the event, and discovered 3 really promising adventure projects that also happen to be Kickstarters.

If you're interested you can check out each project at the links below. All 3 of Kickstarter campaigns will be ending very soon!

Also, if you're interested in learning more about AdventureX you can check it out here.

From everyone here at Geeta Games, we wish you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year filled with a joyous time with loved ones!

Warm wishes,
Steve, Jessica, and the rest of the Geeta Games Team!

It has been 6 months now since we have had an update on the Linux development progress. Could we get another update?

@Yuri We did look at the possibility of trying to get the game to run using Pepper. Unfortunately, we currently have been unsuccessful in getting it to run properly.

That being said, the current Linux build should run in Google Chrome (and other browsers), however it won't run hardware-accelerated and the save game feature will not work properly.

Hello again. Is it possible to play hardware-accelerated version of the game using Pepper-based flash v11.9 via Google Chrome? After "about:flags→Override software rendering list→Enable" about:gpu says that hardware acceleration functions are working.

Linux version is in Humble Library.

Looking forward to Linux version too.

Thanks for the Linux update. Looking forward to (hopefully) playing the game next week.

AdventureX was great! I was actually wearing my Lilly Looking Through t-shirt at the event :)
