About this project
The game Uncovered came to us when we realized that we were tired of playing narrative based games that seemed all too linear. So, we decided to do that opposite, have multitudes of entirely different endings, different play styles, and the capability to truly choose your own path.
Following our dogma of Story Your Own Way, we present Uncovered:
We noticed narrative style gaming has one problem; lack of graphics. So the story has to be great! But, often I have heard (and been victim myself) of playing a story game and it may have a lot of choices, but the length of each page is too long. I cannot quickly pick up my phone play a page or two and set it down, because it would just take too long to comb through all the muddled details.
Uncovered will break that track record. We are bringing an exclusive dual-choice novel that will focus around dialogue based gameplay, while still maintaining a plethora of choices.
Uncovered is a mobile platformed dual-choice novel for the iOS and Android market. We will also push for completing it on Windows as well.
The story is based around a main character who you are on the phone with; guide them from danger, be it through subterfuge, violence or even straight forward peace.
Uncovered: A Novel of Classified Choices will be our first crowdfunded game, and so we hope to bring you an excellent experience. We have stayed up for multiple days in a row, missed time with our wives, and ate way too much fast food for our own good creating this game. So here we have Uncovered, and we hope you get to enjoy it as much as we have creating it.
Albeit, our game will release regardless, here are our stretch goals, be prepared to reveal some confidential files! If fulfilled we may just come to your local con... I mean... We won't be there. (Shhhh... That is confidential).
Your favorite part... THE REWARDS!
Our creative process was definitely a long and arduous one, but we came to the conclusion, a lot of visual should be up to how you imagine them(much like any book). However, we wanted to at least capture some major moments, and here are some examples of where we began:
From a moment to our Cover!
Beyond some baser details there was obviously a reason we needed to reach out to the great community Kickstarter has to offer. So here is our funding breakdown to help everyone understand:
We have invested a lot of our own money so Uncovered will be a real thing. We do need your help with this last little push, however. We realize that IntriGeek as a company is nothing withouts its story makers, which would be YOU! This is a time to Story Your Own Way, and this is only the beginning for our company. Even with our stretch goals, we believe our full funding could be easily achieved. No matter our funding we hope we can exceed your expectations and truly devote the last bit of our time to massively enhancing your gameplay.
Please, spread the word whenever you can. Share and swap your different stories with friends, family, co-workers or random strangers in the street(okay, not highly advised). Only you guys, the backers, can really impact the development phase and personalize the game to what you like. I am excited to talk to all of you, and cannot wait to see what we can achieve together, and the story we can write.
The CEO and Founder of IntriGeek, author behind cheesy poems, goofy, yet oddly dramatic short stories, and a script for a movie you might see here and there.
Believing in the foundation that everyone deserves their own story, and their own narrative to play around I have designed the motto of Story Your Own Way to truly encompass the massive world we have around us.

Risks and challenges
Perhaps the single biggest risk for an indie game studio is not having enough funding to add in all the additional content we want. We already have the funding to finish the entire novel, so whether this Kickstarter is successful or not, Uncovered: A Novel of Classified Choices will exist and be on the Android and iOS marketplace.
Game development, however, is a challenge. Combined, we have released a lot of entertainment based material, but this is our first major game release. Because of this, we have approached the development stages of this game much like we would our other projects. With high levels of efficiency, proper assessment of the stage of our game, and understanding any financial risks.
We have taken the proper steps to make sure that our monthly expenses are low so we can focus on adding quality to the game, versus making it faster.
With proper funding we would be able to attend more applicable courses, hire another team member, and find out how to produce games at a faster pace.
Of course, despite our experience in other media businesses, there will still be unforeseen issues that come up. This is where the other aspect of our depth of experience comes in: our ability to adapt. In the past, we have had to adapt to changing deadlines, budget cuts, crazy publisher 'requests', and shifts in direction. Adaptation is a critical tool, and one that we have used a lot.
We have struggled, sweat, and not slept to make sure this gets produced properly. So do not fret, the game will exist, and it will be a great story to be a part of.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
