Hey Snow Lizards, 

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Tracking numbers will be going out today and tomorrow. We were expecting the 1000 cases to be shipped out at the end of last week but our fulfillment house was still running slow and ran into a bit of a hick-up with all the commotion going on after Hurricane Sandy. 

The cases have been scheduled to be shipped out today so they should still arrive this week. 

Urban and Reggae Camo cases are being built up (finally!) so we're very excited about that and those will be going out over the next two shipments.

      I have started a non-moderated yahoo chat group. It is a place to easily share information on this case. Those who have received the case may have tips for those who are just receiving. Also will allow us to contact each other if wanted, selling or exchanging colors for example.

      I have received my case, but have not mastered it. Looking for tips on solar panel charging. How do you know if solar panel charging phone?

      Still waiting for my case and/or shipping info. was ordered in the plain coyote color. I have not complained yet but after missed deadliness and misleading updates and now seeing people may be recieving there replacement cases before I have even recieved my first one makes me wonder if I am going to see this case.

      No tracking number yet - it does surprise me that it takes months to process initial orders for less than 900 customers with a number of those promised "will be the first to go" clearly are last in line .

      Replacement units are being shipped to customers while others have not received initial orders, and the web site has stated a 3-4 week shipping delay for the past several months. I hope the unit lives up to the promises made, because the customer experience leaves a lot to be desired.

      I've received my case and it looks nice and feels sturdy (except for the lanyard loop that feels like it will snap off if the case is ever dropped), but I think it may have an electrical problem of some kind. I charged it completely and then tested it by charging my iPhone with it, which was at 60%. The iPhone reached 71% before the case was completely drained, which seems way too small for the rated capacity of the case's battery. Also, I can't get a solar charge indicator even in full sunlight. Is there something I'm missing or should I send it in for warranty, and if so, what's the procedure?

      Also, just as a note, the main middle button feels a bit stiff and muffles the tactile feedback. Maybe it's just my case, but if not, this would be something to tweak for the next model.

      Looking up the tracking number it looks like the shipment was not delivered yesterday. I understand from your updates that you have been experiencing both manufacturing and distribution delays - not entirely unexpected since this is a new venture. In order to expedite things for both you and me, at this point I would be happy to take a case in any color if you have available to ship sooner rather than later.

      I got my case a few days ago, and I charged it 100% (along with my phone) and then married the two :) .
      I just have a few questions that the manual doesn't answer.
      Is there a way to know your phone is running off the aqua tek battery?
      There is no response from the case after I hold the power button down for "approximately four seconds", is this normal?
      Also my phone has no notification that it is connected with the case, but the case does only when you first mate the two. Is this normal as well?

      The 4 cases that I "ordered" arrived sometime this week, as I've been out of town.

      I give the presentation of the hardware/packaging a solid "A". The big "F" goes with the lack of communication through the development and eventual GTM of the product. It was probably best that you left AlienWare when DELL bought them as you wouldn't have lasted a quarter the way you ran this project.

      I'll post additional thoughts about the case once it finishes the initial charge :)

      My 4 units arrived today. Got 4 tracking numbers via email on Monday. They all look good. I'm charging all 4 units to begin evaluation and testing. I will try to use pictures where applicable. This has no doubt been a learning experience, but thank you for staying with it.

      So, yesterday the latest shipping promise made by Steve expired, clearly and not unexpectedly, no tracking number and no shipping proof.

      My unit was supposed to be shipped, at least for the last correspondence with support, two weeks ago, then last thrusday, then friday, then monday, then yesterday. Steve's very brief emails stated that that was the plan. To me, and reading the last feedbacks on this board, it looks Snow Lizard has absolutely NO control on the production and shipment process, probably the whole project has been really badly managed.

      No problem, this is what really Kickstarter is, provide support to people that wants to learn how to launch a product.

      In this case there is only one problem, there is no product, no reviews, no YouTube videos, not even photos available but only spec changes (the maximum depth allowed was a big one for me), problems with audio (and for a phone case is a major issue), problems with materials (smaller screws and the latch that seems has been changed) and most important of all, very, very poor communication and the feeling that the project owner doesn't really care in explaining what has happened or what is going to happen. At the end we just made a pledge, right?

      So, this is what Kickstarter states in his rules regarding accountability:

      Is a creator legally obligated to fulfill the promises of their project?

      Yes. Kickstarter's Terms of Use require creators to fulfill all rewards of their project or refund any backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill. (This - - is what creators see before they launch.) We crafted these terms to create a legal requirement for creators to follow through on their projects, and to give backers a recourse if they don't. We hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill.

      For me this time has come, I do not know if somebody else feels in this way, and I want my money back, honestly I do not believe the produced cases are at the standards defined in the project description and the bad support I've seen here is something to learn from.

      Snow Lizard, please make me understand how you can refund me the money.

      This product is a funny joke, Steve you sure did miss the boat on the 4/4S! I have no faith in seeing the iphone 5 case come out before the 6 is released. So much for the ipad version...

      I am beginning to wonder if this miraculous case that I was promised even exists. I've been made false promises month after month, and being an engineer I've been understanding and patient in knowing that production and other natural setbacks can delay a release date. With that said, I believe I've been more than patient (much more) and I can take safety in saying that this is absolutely ridiculous that after waiting since MARCH (that's 10 months!! [that's right, 45+ weeks and counting beyond the expected release date!]) I'm still without a case.
      I have no actual reason to believe this exists. I have no tracking number. I have no case. Please, feel free to "convince" me yet again that it is on its way. Seriously though, give me what I paid for (and its tracking number), or give me my money back!

      December 7: still no case; still no tracking number. At least amuse us with another fairy tale about how this isn't your fault and how the case was shipped just today and we should be receiving a tracking number any day now! Oh, and be sure to act surprised and shocked that something like this is happening and give us firm reassurances that you're looking into it. I love that part. Great acting. William Shatner should play you in the movie version.

      22 days after stating items had been shipped; 16 days after stating items had begun to ship again, 14 days after being personally told my product was shipping that very day, and one week after being told my item had been shipped to an invalid address because their "software glitched" by inserting the product SKU into my street address (which, apparently has ONLY happened to me..such an odd glitch)---a revelation only admitted after being sent an email implying I had provided an incorrect shipping address, which was quickly refuted by copying and pasting and emailing my Backer Response form, I'm now another week after being emailed that a new item was being sent out that very day....still without a tracking number and, obviously, still without product.

      Just send me a friggin refund for the amount I backed. Whatever credibility I was willing to extend to you guys is gone. I've been patient. I've been sympathetic and empathetic in my postings here, my responses to your emails, and on the phone. But you continue to play Pie In The Sky with me and I'm done.

      So send me the refund and contact me at about how to get my backer funds returned to me in full. Please do so a.s.a.p.

      For people that might be awaiting cases still, I have received a tracking number EMAIL for my Urban Camo unit today, so I suppose I'll be getting it in a few days. Its appropriate that its coming during the Lame Duck USA congress session as the case sure is a Lame Duck due to it being late by so many months, and essentially obsolete.

      Hey. I got mine too. It is definitely sweet. Smaller than I had expected. Can't wait to do a water test. I'm sure things will get straightened out for everybody, it has been a tough ride.... but I think we all want it to succeed. The possibilities that this case promise are so awesome. If we have the ability to purchase it for our future phones, any pain that we experience now will totally worth it.

      So, two weeks from the latest update, in which the Snow Lizard team said that all the units will be shipped within a day.
      I believe most of us haven't received either the shipping notice or the products and, every day that passes, I believe this has been the worst project I've pledged.

      Snow Lizard, are you able to give an exact shipping date for the case? Can we expect to receive the SLX before xMas?

      This is serioulsy a joke, I'll never, ever, back up another project from this people.
