Yee-haw! Unlocked the Mule Duel, and just about there for the new yellow cowgirl! It's lookin' like the final 48 is gonna be a gold rush to Coloma!

@Nezuko, we are not that comfortable talking about other campaigns and comparing them with ours.

Coloma has over 500 components in the game, and that quickly ads up. As explained in the update, if GameTrayz was planned before hand, the shipping of this game would have been higher and also the price for the Deluxe. With the prices at the moment, we are simply not able.

As for add-on for GameTrayz, the setup costs are big. We cannot risk adding that as add-on and selling only few hundred inserts.

But you are right. This was a good trial for us, we will think which one of our upcoming projects can make use of a GameTrayz insert and plan that right from the start.

@Jess: I know about all the things they mention. It is because they are not ppanning the whole Gametrayz before launching this project. But I don't believe that adding gametrayz will add sooo much cost based on my calculation by comparing Gugong and Coloma components. All gugong deluxe using wood instead of cardboard for token. And it's a lot of tokens. The board and player board also 3mm thick. So, how come this project + gametrayz need more money than Gugong? Maybe different manufacturer so the price is also different? Maybe consider adding Gametrayz for your next project. Gametrayz is not a dealbreaker but it will attract more backers for sure.

If we don't make the six player stretch goal, how much would it cost to add the option to purchase the sixth player as an add-on.. My gaming group is typically 5 - 6 players as well and we very much enjoy the having larger games.

@Nezu things are not that simple! They explained very well why they cannot feasibly make Gametrayz a stretch goal. It is not simply money. The box size will need changed, which means the weight goes up. With both the dimensions and the weight increasing that increases shipping and handling costs. More packaging is needed, fewer boxes of games may fit on a pallet, so more pallets and thus space in the cargo containers may be needed. Costs start to skyrocket quickly.

Sure it isn’t guaranteed that this would happen. But it is very possible. Plus they would need to work with Noah to work on mockups and such and this process can take months. He’s very busy, so he likely couldn’t start immediately either.

At absolute best trying to fit in Gametrayz will add 4-6 months on delivery and cost FFG a lot of money out of their own pockets.

I don’t agree with Nezu Ko’s comment below. I would not pay extra just for an insert, and I would definitely not want the delivery to be pushed back because of it. Yes. Gugong looks fantastic, but any plastic insert is fine by me.
      Please don’t consider that option.
And please do use an insert. No insert at all is just sad for a game.

Thank you for the explanation on Game Trayz. Laying all that out is admirable. I for one am not heartbroken. They're nice, but not critical. A nice insert is great, but I've got a stack of foam core for the ones that aren't so great (or the ones that are absent *cough* Terraforming Mars *cough*).

I LOVE the new stretch goals. You all are doing an amazing job with this game!

I’m not a big fan of the custom meeples, sad to say I don’t want to hit a stretch goal, but the items after are so good.

Gugong Deluxe: 55euro plus 33 euro shipping includes GameTrayz, thickest box and player board I have ever known on boardgame industry, weighted 4 kgs.

I compare that price with this project: 69USD + 15 USD shipping cost. The difference is only about 15 USD. I will pay 15 USD more to get a Gametrayz and slightly increase on shipping cost and push back the delivery timeline if need be.

I really hope that it hits that 6th player. My game group runs 5-6 and it's really hard to find a game that will support a 6th. If you guys don't hit your strech goal can you PLEASE make it a addon? A 6th player is huge for me.

Yeah, kind of sad for the Game Trayz insert because they are really the best.
Anyway, I hope to see a nice plastic insert to have every component well organized and protected (as in your previous projects).

I hope it from the deep of my hard... I'm a little sad because of the Game Trayz but I understand your points and this game will be high quality and fun anyway so... maybe I'm not dying. Thank you FFG, JonnyPac and all the contributors.
