Five teenagers wake up in a dark room. They've never met before.
Now they must fight their way through life-threatening obstacles in order to escape the vast, labyrinthine facility in which they have found themselves trapped. As their personalities clash and relationships ebb and flow, Eve, Conner, Anna, Jackson, and Cara must overcome their individual weaknesses, face painful memories, and work together in order to save what ultimately becomes most important to them: each other.
Hello! We are Zack Rocklin-Waltch and Tessa Beatrice: two high school juniors looking to make an impact on the comic book world.
Tessa: “The lack of diversity in the media and in the world of comics bothers me. Hardly any stories have characters who are unpredictable or have traits and weaknesses like those of real people. If they cannot find a hero similar to them in any story, people can feel invalid or excluded. Having a character or hero who suffers from the same prejudices, disabilities, or obstacles can make anyone feel validated, and help people deal with their own problems. Most stories are unrealistic and unfair to those of us who fall outside archetypes, so I strive to include as many different and authentic characters as I can in my stories.”
Zack: "I have always loved telling stories, and this is by far the best one that I've had the opportunity to tell. The characters have become so close to me and I can say with near certainty that any reader will feel the same way. When Tessa first pitched the idea to me over two years ago, she described it as 'The Breakfast Club, but with action.' That, to me, is still what this project is at its core. It is the story of a group young people who must face their biggest fears and flaws amidst a deadly environment. The world needs to hear their story."
On the surface Fury’s Forge is about five teens trying to escape from a large and dangerous facility, which becomes a veritable death-trap. There is fighting, action, and lots of running, but the story is about so much more than that. Each one of these kids is haunted by past trauma which defines their actions. They are all imperfect and must work together through their issues and flaws in order to make it out alive. The real story is about these five teenagers learning to trust each other while they grow as individuals.

Risks and challenges
The biggest risk with our Kickstarter is that we are both young and have never run a crowdfunding project before. Throughout the whole process of managing this Kickstarter, we will be continuing to learn and adjust. Nevertheless, we feel confident that our perseverance and determination will make up for our unfamiliarity with crowdfunding platforms.
We have given ourselves a time buffer so we have room to make mistakes, should they occur. We have a lot of human resources at our disposal, too, including people who have run successful Kickstarters in the past. Though we may be young, we strongly believe that we can overcome these obstacles and bring Fury's Forge to you!
