$150,000 and Counting!

Wow! We've made our goal and we've still got until Monday at 8:59 pm to keep taking pledges! Thank you to everyone who has made a pledge to help keep the Lyric in business! We're still taking pledges, but what will we do with this additional money? Well, between Kickstarter and Amazon Payments, we're going to lose 8-10% of the $150,000 that has been pledged to us, so extra pledges will help offset those costs.

To celebrate reaching the $150,000 though, we thought we'd clue you all into the rad t-shirts you'll be getting with your pledges that have been designed for us by the very talented Mikhail Twarogowski and printed up for us at a very discounted rate by the wonderful Go West T-Shirt Company here in town. They'll be available in a few colors, but here is my favorite!

I love this design! I will definitely be wearing this one with pride! Congrats :-)

    2. Creator Gordon McAlpin on August 6, 2012

      Congratulations! :D

    3. Creator Tam Frager on August 6, 2012

I also agree with letting locals pick up our goodies. There's no reason for you to spend money on postage if you don't need to.

    4. Creator Joni on August 6, 2012

So happy you guys were able to reach your goal!

    5. Creator David Hunter on August 6, 2012

I don't need the thank you note.

    6. Creator SB Rowland on August 5, 2012

I'm happy to pick up my stuff when I come to a movie! Such a happy dance was danced when we saw you made your funding!!!! We have a project in process and hope to make our funding as well!

    7. Creator AnneMarie Casper on August 5, 2012

I also agree about local backers picking up premiums.

    8. Creator Alison Rosso on August 5, 2012

I agree with Mike about the mailings. Also, I don't really need the handwritten thank-you note; anyone who agrees that the Lyric staff shouldn't waste their time and paper, comment here!

    9. Creator Mike Deneen on August 4, 2012

One more suggestion: set up times for us local backers to pick up any pledge premiums so that you don't have to pay to mail them out. That should help your Kickstart go just a little further.

Also, it's a great excuse to stop by the Lyric...

    10. Creator Stacy Plemmons on August 4, 2012

Great to hear. Now a suggestion - love your movies, love your business model, dislike the theaters and seating challenges. Hope you will use the extra money to plan a significant remodel of the theaters, and/or consider moving to a bigger location. Fort Collins needs you, but the limited seating keeps us from coming more often.

    11. Creator Paulette Haley on August 4, 2012

How wonderful for you. Great job! Purple would be a great color for your shirts!!!!

    12. Creator Michael Putlack on August 4, 2012

There will be a questionnaire, and we'll be setting up times for people to come pick their seats after they are installed!

    13. Creator Not_Log on August 4, 2012

There should be a questionnaire after the kickstarter's over to address things like where to send your stuff and whatnot.

    14. Creator Serene Calkins on August 4, 2012

Hey,(This is Serene from Art and Science and our little Turesday Movie night group.)
      Way to go!
See.....didn't we know it??? ...... the little community that could....
Nice job all around. When do we pick our seats .... um... choose which seats will bear our names?
Looking forward to many more movies at the Lyric!
      OX Serene,

    15. Creator Nick Begovich on August 4, 2012

Congratulations! You know, I'll probably never visit The Lyric, but I'm excited about my mugs and t-shirt. Besides, it seems like a great theater. I hope everything goes well when you install the new projectors!
