About this project
We were raised in congregations that lifted voices in unison on Sunday mornings with hymnals in hand...
It wasn't until we were in college leading chapel services, small groups, and Sunday morning worship that we began to take a second look at those old hymns once again. What we found in those hymnals was a treasure chest full of lyrical and theological depth that passionately pointed fully towards God. These songs encouraged the community of believers, challenged the church and spoke of God's goodness and grace with the ultimate goal of making Him famous on the earth.
These songs came alive to us again and we saw them not as old, outdated songs, but as gifts from saints who have come before us. So as songwriters and artists with a need to create, we began taking our favorites and adding a handmade approach to each one, making the new melodies a simple vehicle for the great lyrics already written.
WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO DO
We believe that these songs are the Church's heritage! The truth and good news embedded within the lyrics of these hymns are far too rich to be thrown to the side as outdated material. Our hope, with this 5 song EP, is to awaken and renew the same love for these songs as we have come to find! We want to provide new ways of singing these old songs for churches and musicians of all kinds to use in worship gatherings. We envision these songs blending together with the passionate songs of praise being created today, bridging a gap between preference, style and age.
We CANNOT make this happen without your generous support, so we need YOU to help bring this project to life! We are raising $7,000 in 30 days and traveling down to Nashville, TN in September of this year to record with our good friend and producer Evan Sieling. Along with recording the EP, we will be filming a look behind the scenes of the recording process as bonus material.
Hymns have been something very near to our hearts for years and we are so excited to bring a small portion of what we have been working on over the past year to you in a more tangible way! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your time and support.

Our Take Away Shows...
Risks and challenges
The main risk is simply scheduling related. Production of the EP will be done by the amazing Evan Sieling in Nashville, so his schedule will ultimately dictate the release date.
This is an all or nothing deal. The challenge here is that if we don't get fully funded, none of the money comes through, the project doesn't happen and we don't embark on a trip down to Nashville in the Fall to record.
That part is up to you.
