**Named "Bands to watch..." Rolling Stone http://www.rollingstone.com/music/station-to-station/santa-fe/bands-to-watch-from-santa-fe **Best of the Year-New Mexico Music Awards 2012 and in 2013, Song of the Year and the prestigious Norman Petty Producers Award! Recently acquired our own Pandora station!!
This year knocked us off our feet! Within a matter of weeks we were honored by the NMMA's, established new management with Avokado Artists and began tracking for our 2014 national release, "Sweep." Soon after, RollingStone.com named us as a "..band to watch.." Our path practically began itself.
New opportunities are headed our way and with those blessings come a few new expectations.
We have discovered hONEyhoUSe is no longer just our project. It belongs to all of you that sing our lyrics right back to us. It belongs to you who send us videos of your babies singing "Supahlove" or "Good To Me." To you that have said "Pooh's Song" and "SUN" have healed you or "Conquer the World" brings you to tears every time you listen because it is YOUR story. What a miracle in motion for us to witness and what a life you are allowing us to live. Thank you in advance for being BEAUTIFUL YOU!
Our immediate goals:
*Complete the production and replication of "Sweep"
* Video production and marketing
* Enlist a publicist to secure radio and media support in local markets as well as future, untraveled venues
* Initial funding of "Sweep" tour in North America and Europe
*We are also in the process of designing hONEyhoUSe merchandise, to offset traveling expenses in the future.
Risks and challenges
Since the inception of hONEyhoUSe we have faced and overcome many challenges. The biggest challenge, which still remains, is that we each live in a different state Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. The place each hONEybee calls home and the lifestyles lead there is as diverse and unique as our individual music background and styles. Whether we are recording, performing live, or writing, at least two or more girls leave their families and travel several hours just to make it happen. The expenses we incur through travel, food, lodging, and childcare, are additional to the actual technical expense of putting out a record. We have said before that it really shouldn't work....but it does, and beautifully. We have successfully completed two previous award winning records despite all odds, and we are determined to push the limits even further with SWEEP. How do we overcome the challenges that we face? We pray… a lot, and then we plan. We increase our efforts, whether that means more work, more time, more money, more heart, whatever it takes, we find a way to make it happen. We also give credit to our tremendous group of supporters and believers in the music (the hONEy of it all) in that someone or something seems to come through at exactly the right time. And we are forever grateful through it all.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
