Directors statement and rehearsal scene/b-roll with music by Keegan DeWitt.
Where the Buffalo Roam is a film about the fear of change and leaving the comforting arms of home. The film will be produced by award winning Chicago based independent production company Rubbish. As a young and passionate team we have produced several films that have made there way into film festivals around the country, like Chicago International and Starz Denver. We have been developing and re-writing the screenplay for this film for months on end, making it the most monumental project for us to date. It is incredibly near and dear to all of us and now we are looking for your support to bring it to life!
Wandering amongst the plotted rows of houses within the motherly arms of the suburbs, two brothers take advantage of the hours that most spend asleep. They sip liquid courage and shout their dreams aloud, only to hear them echo back in the humid midwestern summer air.
In a place where time can be an illusion and stagnation can become your best friend, all they can hope for is that the backpack doesn’t empty before the sun reaches the horizon.

HOW KICKSTARTER WORKS
Kickstarter is the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world. Every week, tens of thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields.
We set a goal: $5,500 (See below for how we're spending it.)
We set a deadline: 30 Days
You pledge whatever you can to help us reach our goal, and receive the best rewards we can offer while still turning enough profit to fund our project.
If we reach (or hopefully exceed) our goal by the deadline, your credit or debit card is charged, we get our funding, and you get your rewards.
If we don't reach our goal by the deadline, your credit card is NOT charged, and you do NOT receive the reward.

OUR TIMELINE & HOW YOUR DONATION FUELS IT
Before this Kickstarter was even launched we’ve been tenaciously chipping away at getting this film underway. We will be shooting in Buffalo Grove, IL September 9-10th, as well as September 14-18th. Here is what will be happening and how your dollar will fund every moment of this 5 day long shoot and bring our film to fruition:
We are currently scouting and locking locations in the Buffalo Grove, IL suburbs. Your donation will directly help cover the costs of location rentals and permits.
As soon as locations are locked, so is our cast and crew. With your money, we can feed these hard working volunteers.
You will be directly paying for all of our production equipment. From the camera that we will be shooting on, to the lights and generator we’ll need to run on every outdoor set to bring the scene’s of the suburban night to life.
Once shooting is wrapped, we’ll be working hard to make sure our story is 100% accurate. Several days will be spent in the editing room composing beautiful sound and visuals that help drive our film, but we’ll need your money to even have a chance at it reaching the big screen. Your donations will cover the submission costs to several prestigious fests that will put our film in front of the world’s eyes.
