Hello. My name is Brandie Ahlgren and I publish Seattle-based CityDog Magazine. After 13 years of digging up the best places to sit, stay and play with your pooch in the Pacific Northwest, we are finally putting it all in one place, a 200-page, full-color, glossy guidebook.
The Doggone Travel+Adventure Guide is chock full of the best doggone getaways, the best dog-friendly hotels, and the best destinations for you and your travel hound.
Hot-off-the-press in May, it will be your go-to guide to hit the road with Rover - from wine tasting in Walla Walla, to exploring the Olympic Peninsula, to kicking it with your canine on the Oregon Coast - it truly is the best doggone travel guide for dog lovers in the Northwest!
And, it's DONE...all 200 pages of it! Now, all we need to do is go to print. And guess what, it ain't cheap to print a full-color, glossy guidebook packed with over 350 gorgeous photos, all shot by professional photographers, plus hundreds of places to sit, stay and play with your pooch, and that is why we are asking for your help!
In return (and depending on what level you pledge, from $10 to $65), you will receive a hot-off-the-press copy of the Doggone Travel+Adventure Guide, a one-year subscription to CityDog Magazine, plus your name in print and YOUR DOG's name in print. If you want to buy the guide as a gift for a friend, all of the above applies as well...Woof!
Check out a sneak peek of the guide here then make your pledge today...THANK YOU!
Please note: If you already subscribe to CityDog Magazine and you want to pledge $35 or more, we will add one year to your existing subscription.
The Top Dog. If you pledge $100 or more, not only do you receive all of the above (copy of the Doggone Travel+Adventure Guide, one-year subscription to CityDog Magazine, plus your name and your dog's name in print), but we will also feature your dog's picture in the book! However, space is limited to just 60 dogs (see sample below), so please make your pledge today and we will follow up with you about your dog's photo.
Risks and challenges
CityDog Magazine has been in print for over 13 years, with at least four issues per year. We have a fantastic relationship with our printer (who by the way, is located right here in Seattle). We do acknowledge that all projects come with some risk, but given our years of experience in the publishing industry, we are confident it is minimal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
