Have a question?
Hi John. I wanted to check on the status of the PDF rewards as well. All the miniature pictures look great!
Hey John, I also never received a link to pdfs of Denizens or Arise.
Hey John, I never received a link to the pdfs from Jamie.
I only pledged for the two books, but wow, I've got to say that I'm TOTALLY satisfied, more than satisfied, with the quality of what I got for my pledge. If I used minis, I'd have bought them, but I am VERY pleased to have been able to have been a part of this KS despite my theater of the mind approach. I will certainly be watching for more Kickstarters like this one in the future.
AWESOME, would pledge again. :)
Curious to know who else has read the Denizens Guide and the Arise the Ancients adventure.
A few spoiler free thoughts on the adventure.
At first I thought "Wow! This is a deadly adventure." Then I realized that the characters each get to start with a combat knife, a laser pistol, and ten items of special forces gear of their choice. This should help to give them a fighting chance.
The adventure does a nice job of showcasing some of the new creatures from the miniatures range and Denizens Guide. Some appear as encounters, some as possible PCs. Not everything from the minis makes it in, but it's pretty close.
The map has a couple of intentionally blank spaces. These can be left sealed off or filled in by the referee.
This would make a nice convention module or one shot adventure or it could be used as the start of a campaign. Note though that the PCs are going to be quite powerful compared to the usual starting characters in MA.
If anyone else you know was hoping to get in on these before waiting to get these from our web-store, they are available for preorder at backerkit. https://metamorphosis-alphatm-28mm-miniatures.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders
@James, I really feel like I have not been communicating enough!! It was tough for a while. It seemed like nothing was going right. Just one setback after another, but that can always happen when a project basically doubles the initial idea. We probably should have gave a bit more time on the fulfillment, but it is really tough to gauge that kind of stuff before the project is even launched. Thanks again for the support, and understanding. :-)
@John Great! Thanks. And thank you for being so responsive to all of us.
@James Once the surveys are complete, we have to provide Jamie with a list of emails for the people who get the .PDF, and he will email you all links to the file. Hope that helps clear things up!
I don't know if I missed a previous post or not. Has the Met Alpha 5th edition pdf been made available?
@ James The way things look at the moment is that we are looking to start shipping peoples stuff in the second week in May.
@Creator What are you looking at for a lock down date?
It is worth clicking on the concept art in the shop on Backer Kit to see the finished minis. A lot of these look even better than the concept art we have all been drooling over.
@ Glenn Happy to say that everything that was held up, showed up on Wed. last week. I put them into master molds right away, and just have to finish the production molds for 6 pieces. I will have an update later tonight, but I can do a bit more here. The print publications are at the printer, and proofs have been printed. The printer is mailing them out tomorrow, so we should have them by Wed. this week. If all is good there, we will give the greenlight, and should have all of the print stuff in our hands in about a week past that point. I am assembling a 3 of the multi-part pieces so that we can get final weights on them, and get them photographed tonight, and then the surveys should be ready to head out as well. I assure you that know hookers or blow have been purchased with your money and that we are busting our butts to get this done! ;-)
How is the Customs thing going?
Ninjas, agent, slaves...
Sorry for the late reply. Buried in work, but everything is coming out great! Some things have taken a bit more work than anticipated, but still moving along. Planning on sending out surveys when we have the weights to include payment for shipping in the backerkit survey process.
Interesting question regarding adding items from our current store to the Backerkit store. Which items or product lines were you interested in? Anyone else interested in this option?
Any more info on whether we'll be able to add minis from your store to the kickstarter backerkit survey? I'd like some of the minis you've previously made but the international shipping makes multiple orders far more expensive.
@Matthew. That is partly why we are waiting on surveys also. We want everyone to know exactly what the minis will look like, so they can order more through Backerkit if they so desire.
The new figures look great. When you get all the pieces ready can you put them on one page? People might want to add more to their order if you can fit that into the backerkit.
@ Eric No surveys have been sent yet, we cannot do that until we have a better idea what some of these pieces will weigh. It will be very soon though, I promise.
I did not get the survey yet. Has it gone out? Can you please re-send to me if it did. Thanks.
Not a problem, John...Saw the new sculpts...very nice. Very nice, indeed.
Hey Gang! Please take the time to look a the current update, some cool new sculpt pictures are included. There is also information about our next project. If there are any concerns from anyone, I would like to try to air them out here! :-)
@Jeffrey no you did not miss it. We have been trying to sort out some of the shipping stuff with Backer Kit. Felipe thinks he has it worked out, so they should be going out tomorrow. Sorry about the delay!
Hey Mr. Popson...did I miss the Backer Survey? Don't wanna miss that!
Happy new Year to all of our backers. Please take a minute to look at the last update and weigh in on how you feel about the "Frog-oid" sculpt.
John & Felipe
Happy New Year!
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!!
@John/Phillip, @All, Happy New Year have a good one
Gosh Dang! I am a happy Texans!!! 104 minis coming my way! Great KS! Thanks so much!
@Jeffrey, Yes the $16k "cyborg" SG is unlocked and as a Christmas gift @John/Phillip have unlocked the $16,750 "Acid Trap Plant" SG,
Just to confirm... Since we hit 16k did we unlock the level 10 stretch goal???
@Kenny, there is some cool minis already, definitely looking forward to seeing the rest once they are sculpted!
I went in at "EB survival of the fittest" so I should be getting one of each except the James Ward mini, I might get the book add-on too!
@John/Phillip, Grats on the KS! With all the extra minis we picked up in the last couple of days, I'm going to have to soul searching to decide where my dollars are going. And that's a good thing. :)
@John/Phillip, Congrats on another successful and well run KS,
The last 48hrs of the campaign have been mental, well done everyone backing and sharing the project :)
Enjoy the rest of your Christmas holidays
Great last few days! I'm happy
for you guys. Excited to see what is still to come from this new line of miniatures. I'm glad to hear you will keep working on PC mini's.
@Ron. We will do some player character stuff now that we will be licensed. The problem with doing PCs is that with the varied amounts of physical mutation combinations that are available in MA, it is tough to make minis that represent them well. Trust me when I say, that we are working on it!
Would love to see some player character figures.
Almost done. Merry xmas
Hey new backers, don't forget to go "Like" the EffinCoolMinis Facebook and Twitter pages, so close to even more bonus figures!
Merry Christmas! Glad to see so many stretch goals are met!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Please pass my apreciations on to your artist. For a non-RPGer who knew nothing about MA he has knocked it out of the park.
Size and painting will differentiate the hyena-oid from its wolfoid cousins.
@Matthew, safe travels to you as well sir. It is actually a Hyena-oid. It is much smaller than a wolfoid. When we first presented that artwork to Jim for approval, he said "I like it a lot, but thats not a wolfoid!" :-) Our concept artist has done a great job, considering he does not play roleplaying games, let alone knew anything about Metamorphosis Alpha. He has just ran with the ideas we have given him over the last 6 months.
Merry Christmas and safe travels
There you are, wolfoid cousin is in.
@ALL Happy Holidays!! You all have helped to make this a great success! We really appreciate how you have all come together for this to make Metamorphosis Alpha Miniatures an exciting new thing!
@MA supporters- Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays
@All, Happy Christmas/Holiday Season, have a good one
