Rezivot Instant Film Processor
Rezivot Instant Film Processor, a simple add-on gadget for your film camera. Another image option for your idea.
To expand photographic creativity, we need a brand new gadget. In recent years we have slowly lost our options in Instant film photography, but film photography is not dead, with a lot of people still shooting with films all over the globe, even more and more people joining-in too.
Since 2015, we decided to make a new start from nothing. An instant film processor design used Fujifilm Instax wide film as our first step, mini instax versions will be our next projects.
NOW, we have both Fujifilm Instax wide and square film for you to choose.
Our units can be mounted on those cameras originally designed to swap their own filmholder on the back, by simply attaching the mount plate from an old polaroid / fujifilm instant packfilm holder to our processor. It’s ready to use on your camera. No further modification or adjusting to your camera is needed.
With the benefit from Instax Film, the photographer now have ISO 800~1000 approximal sensitivity film to use. The condition of the lighting to take the photo is more flexible than ever. With hasselblad, you have F2.8 and F2.0 lens can shoot at nearly impossible condition when you only use films. With large format camera, you can have more stop of aperture to get the depth for group photo. And all this can happen in a blink of the eye.

What is this project about?
To revive the spirit of traditional photography, and bring your old camera to another level, just by adding a simple gadget.
We aim to connect modern technology with past knowledge, by adding reverse engineering to bring old cameras back to life while still in their original form. All you need is to apply our gadget to your camera.
Each camera has its own story to tell and we believe that instead of changing the original appearance, it is best to keep your camera just the way it is to preserve its connection with the user.
Maintaining the legacy of your old camera allows you to continue this unique relationship and create more memories with your lovely equipment.
Why are we doing this?
Digital technology has changed the way people document images and the essence of photography is lost.
In years past, we used films to record life. According to the requirement of events, we carried different cameras and captured cherished memories. Over time, companies have stopped manufacturing film, and cameras we used in the good old days have become mere decorations on the shelf. It is not until when we look at the pictures that we recall those past moments and the box we used to capture them.
The authenticity of photography is disappearing little by little.
When imaging technology is so easy to obtain, it not only accelerates the overall image developing process, creating more possibilities in terms of photo retouching, but also a new concern arises – the vanishing of irretrievable sentiments that once flourished within the photographic process. Walter Benjamin once discussed the inseparable relationship between aura, authenticity, tradition and ritual of an artwork. This idea can be applied to traditional photography also.
Those cherished moments captured through the almost ritualized process of traditional photography, and also a rational consideration and emotional touch, are irreplaceable and can never be duplicated.
To bring back the idea of photography, we need to reinforce the connection between camera and user.
When looking back on the source of contemporary photography and photo editing, we realize what should never be abandoned while pursuing things further. These are the emotional connections between traditional cameras, film, photographers and the environment. Therefore, this is where Rezivot comes in. The name is based on our promise to bring old cameras back to life, and is a hint of where the founder started his pursuit of photography.

Risks and challenges
All innovative thoughts come with certain risks, ours is no different. Despite the fact that the prototype has been tested and is available for manufacturing, we still need to reach a certain amount to start the production line. Without the minimum amount, it is hard for us to find either the ideal factory to work with or to guarantee the sufficiency of materials for mass production.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
