The music featured on the CD comes from around the world and represents part of the eclectic taste I have for music. From modern Russia, Cuba, and Argentina, to 18th century Germany, and Italy this CD presents the universal practice of Song and Dance.
This CD is a long time coming. It features primarily contemporary classical music and arrangements of Baroque lute music most of which was featured in my senior recital at UC Santa Cruz. For this Project I will be performing on a Kenny Hill 2010 Performance series prototype guitar with D'Addario normal tension strings.
Creating a CD is a long and expensive process. One needs to fund the recording, editing, mastering, licensing, production, distribution, and promotion.
The CD is ready to go! Check out some of the tracks on my reverbnation site (http://www.reverbnation.com/jayarms). All the tracks are streaming there and you can listen to them anytime you want! I've finished the recording and editing with Kevin Harris, and I'll be mastering the CD soon. I'm in the process of designing the CD cover and liner notes with the help of Emily HIlls, of which I'll post a sample during this project. All I need now is help with the licensing and production, this is where the kickstarter project comes in!
Kickstarter is a great place for this kind of project. By contributing just $15, you essentially pre-order the CD and make it possible for me produce this album! By doing it this way rather than waiting for the CDto come out, you become an integral part of the process. Without your help, my CD won't be possible. Please help in any way you can, you'd be surprised on how quickly small pledges add up to a significant amount! All contributors will be acknowledged on my websites in addition to receiving your selected rewards!
Thank you for whatever support you have to offer!
