Let Food Be Thy Medicine
"We are what we eat" is a quote originating from 200 years ago. Today, nutrigenomics scientifically proves we can influence our genetic expression through personalized nutrition. This very concept has been integral to Chinese medicine for nearly 2500 years. As an herbalist and foodie, for me, food is healing, nourishing, exciting and enlivening. My dream is to share with you an exciting and delicious way to experience “Food as Thy Medicine.”

Hü-Chi Dark Chocolate Truffles are vegan, gluten-free bites of bliss, infused with the highest quality herbs and supplements. One of the oldest sayings in Chinese medicine is "when illness occurs, first try to cure it with food; only when food fails should one resort to herbal medicines." Not only that, food is always the best means for delivering medicinal herbs, especially tonics, into the digestive system for absorption of therapeutic benefit.

Risks and challenges
Starting a new business comes with opportunities for growth. What matters is how we respond and how we reach out and do whatever it takes to make our dream come true.
Since my business is currently small-scale, I will be learning how to use a tempering system to mass produce. I will also be using molds for most of the chocolates.
The taste and health benefits of Hü-Chi chocolates are also thanks to the highest quality herbs and food ingredients. For this I have built a solid relationship with local suppliers.

I've been asked over and over. "Can I eat too many of the chocolate truffles?" The answer is no, unless you binge, but that would be from the chocolate! I use a fractional amount of healing herbs and large dose of love and reiki, making these chocolates extremely uplifting. I recommend 1-2 after each meal, up to 6 in one day.
