What is Agents of A.A.R.F?
Agents of A.A.R.F is a 5E/Pathfinder compatible Adventure Path set on the continent of Layna, a land of seven competing realms inhabited by Hybrids, races fused from a genetic mixture of animals and humans.
This is the first published adventure path in the Anthro-Adventures series, a Pathfinder campaign setting that was successfully funded last year and in the process of being converted to 5e right now. If you backed either of those Kickstarters you will recieve the digital version of Agents of A.A.R.F. Vol. 1 as part of your support, and you only need to back here if you want a physical copy.
While Agents of A.A.R.F is specifically an Anthro-Adventures Adventure Path, it can be added to any existing RPG setting that is is 5E/PF compatible. The Anthro- Adventures World Guide is very helpful to understand the nuances of the setting, and is highly suggested in order to run the Agents of A.A.R.F. Adventure Path properly. What is the plot about?
In Agents of A.A.R.F the PCs will be competing for employment with the Canine Kingdom's legendary Arcane Artifact Recovery Force (A.A.R.F). A.A.R.F is part covert operations and part magical university, and their mission is to protect the realms of Layna from potentially dangerous magical objects and the creatures who wish to wield them.
What Genre is it?
Anthro-adventures is Anthro-fantasy in the vein of Redwall, mistmantle, and Mouseguard. However, each realm is set with a different time/genre feel (Felines have an Egyptian motif, Canines are medieval European, Ruminants are 17th century France and monastic Japan, the Rodents are 19th century London steampunk, ect...). In addition, each race takes much of their culture from famous English language children's books, as these were the only materials available during the experiment that created their world.
What new material does it include?
Volume 1, currently available here, will take your PCs through the first 3 levels (1-3) while introducing them to three of Layna's Seven Realms. Volume 1 is over 110 pages and includes:
- A compelling adventure-based plot that offers PCs the freedom to pave their own story.
- Rules for playing three new races (Penguin, Polar Bear, Snake).
- Dozens of well-developed NPCs, and never before seen monsters
- New equipment, magical items, and cosmetic rewards
- 6 pre-generated characters so players can jump right in and explore the Seven Realms.
What options do I have for purchase/When is delivery?
Agents of A.A.R.F is available in this kickstarter as a digital download (again, backers of the previous Anthro-Adventures KS will get this for free), a premium printed soft cover, or a premium printed hardcover.
The digital download will be delivered via Drive Thru RPG as soon as Kickstarter funding is paid, as it is already nearing completion (just waiting on some more maps). The physical items will be sent for a print run in May/June. This will allow for some playtesting before we go to print.

The majority of Volume 1 is complete and ready to be delivered, so we'll be able to deliver digital rewards immediately after the KS ends (once money is collected). I plan to order the physical books the first week of May or so, in order to get some feedback from players before I lock in a printing.

Risks and challenges
Volume 1 is completely written and tested, so risk on this one is very minor.
