LET'S MAKE A NEW EVERYBODY ELSE RECORD AND CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN! In a wooden garage in Silverlake, California, we've been making a lot of noise. We are a band called Everybody Else, and we are working to produce and release our second album by ourselves. Since our label and publishing company no longer exist, we are taking part in some futuristic, grass-roots fundraising, Obama-style. This means we have total creative control, and have no one to answer to but you! The album is already mostly written, and partly recorded, but we could really use a couple more microphones and preamps, and would love to be able to pay a pro to mix/master it and make it sound dope. We are shooting for a modest eight thousand bucks, but hope we can end up raising a bit more than that. We know people have been waiting a very long time for this, so the faster we can raise the money, the faster we can get the music recorded and released to you. The deadline we have set to reach our goal is August 20, and we hope to be completely done with the album around the end of October.
For most of you, pledging will mean pre-ordering the album and receiving it before its available to the rest of the world. For some of the more heroic "backers," it will mean becoming part of our lives: you could have your name in the liner notes of our album, own one of our bicycles or guitars, or have us play a private show in your living room. Even if you only pledge a dollar, you will be part of something incredible, improbable, and life-changing for us. And please, spread the word using every means necessary. We promise, it will be worth it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!
