When I get excited about a project, I throw my heart and soul into it. Last year, when I began planning my Tiny House Build, I came to the realization that I wouldn't be able to celebrate Christmas in the way I normally do. There simply wouldn't be any space for the towering tree I desired. I had one of those Eureka moments during a period of extreme boredom and I immediately set out to create the solution to my problem and the problem many Tiny House owners have as well. I created a way for people to decorate an evergreen branch in their small space, without losing any precious living space.
The Vision & How Its Made
As a minamilist, I only buy quality products. Period. So when I decided to create my own product and company, I wanted to make sure that one rule was honored above all others, my product would be quality. I picked the best processes, hardware, people to work with and searched for the best price to pass on the value to you.
The star is cut out of steel sheets. And then a short pipe is welded at an angle onto the star, so that the holder can receive a branch. In order to stop the branch from twisting and turning, a bolt is installed on the backside of the pipe. The hardware, which is mounted to the front of the star is made of alloys that compliment the stars in color. Silicon bronze hardware comes with the Rustic Everbough Branch Holder and brass hardware comes with the Classic Everbough Branch Holder. This product is patent pending.
The backbone of the Tiny House movement is the community. My stretch goals are aimed at rewarding the community, especially in concentrated geographic areas. The first stretch goal is activated when 25 or more people buy an Everbough Branch Holder in any metropolitan area. These people will receive branches for their Everbough Branch Holders. I won't ship them, but instead you can come pick them up at a central location in the city you guys live in. I'll have hot cocoa or coffee to make it a celebration.
The second stretch goal is activated when we raise 25,000 dollars. If that is the case every Everbough Branch Holder, will be accompanied by a set of led lights, powered by usb (usb power source not included).
A Decoration for Summer Too!!
Don't feel like taking down the star? Me neither! Through an orchid in the branch holder during the summer months. Alternatively, put a candle in the pipe and create a little romantic ambiance. I am excited to see how you make the star your own!
Risks and challenges
Rust. My prototypes have resisted rust well, but ultimately the star is metal and over time the water will wear down the protective coatings. I am powder coating the stars, a process often used for farm or auto equipment. On top of that measure, I will inspect each star to ensure high quality.
Timeline. I do plan to have the stars in your hands the last week of November, but its possible that unforeseeable circumstances delay the fulfillment of your order. I pray this doesn't happen.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
