Our new neighborhood restaurant, 606 R&D, in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn is set to open in early 2012. We'll be offering a full breakfast menu, brunch on weekends, lunch, and dinner service complete with a full bar. We realized, in order to make people really smile, we need donuts. Maybe we are doing it for selfish reasons, because we need donuts with our coffee every morning. We assume our neighbors feel the same way. Or they will after they taste our cake donuts.
Support our project and send the aroma of donuts, cinnamon, brown butter, hot cider, and freshly brewed coffee down Vanderbilt Avenue. We'll open early and make fresh donuts all day long, seven days a week. Proceeds from our campaign will cover the costs of our donut making program: staff training at Dreesen's Donut College (the Ivy League of Donut Schools), starter ingredients, donut boxes, donut bags, a mixer to make the donuts and finally (drum roll please), a "Donut Robot," the donut-making machine. It's a 3 foot contraption complete with a river of hot oil and a flipping device. Watch it and be amazed!
