About
The fundraising project is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of Ernest Withers' one million-plus images documenting the struggles, triumphs and every day activities of civil-rights activists, musicians and Memphians of all color and social standing.
Phase One's goal is to raise $55,000 which will cover the transfer of this precious collection to a safe and secure location. The status of this unique collection is currently classified as "at risk". Unless, we act now, so much of our history could disappear in a fire, tornado or other disaster.
ALL DONATIONS ARE U.S. TAX DEDUCTIABLE, THE WITHERS COLLECTION MUSEUM & GALLERY IS A 501(C) 3 NON- PROFIT ORGANIZATION

The Withers Collection Museum & Gallery will be partnering with Iron Mountain to preserve and provide vastly increased access to this unique photographic collection, and ensure this valuable history is not lost.
