Storing the large stirring accessory separately would still be pretty compact: it looks like it would lay flat in a drawer. I'ml pretty excited about this.

"When the MasterSous is not in use, can all accessories store inside the pot?"

The steamer/sous vide basket and the large stirring accessory will not be able to both fit in the pot at the same time.

"I reside in Singapore and we share the same voltage as EU(220-240v).
I have a address in US and wondering if the survey would allow us to choose the plug and voltage? Or it will pre fix it to US backers as 120v."
For this Kickstarter campaign, MasterSous will only ship with a US plug, but will be built to accept both 220v and 110v, so for 220v, backers will just need to buy a simple plug adapter - not an expensive voltage converter."

      Hi James,

I reside in Singapore and we share the same voltage as EU(220-240v).
I have a address in US and wondering if the survey would allow us to choose the plug and voltage? Or it will pre fix it to US backers as 120v.
I would really love to hear from you.
Otherwise i will need to back out.

I really like this product and have backed but was wondering if you could provide a few images of the stirring attachments. The reason I ask is that some of the recipes I have found for gumbo require the bottom of the pot to be scraped constantly for a certain period of time. I zoomed in and while it does look like your stirring attachment in the video does do this I would like some confirmation. Also ceramic would be awesome as I have both ceramic and stainless pots and the ceramic are MUCH easier to clean.

Hooray for stainless steel (and the ceramic would be great, too).

Is the bottom of the removable pot smooth? Could any pot that fits in the base be used?

      Hi

I would like to back this project but am in Australia.

      Can you ship to Australia?

If not can you supply a 220-240v unit for delivery to a freight forwarder in the US?

      Cheers

      Dale

"Are there any specifications / statistics on maintaining temperature during frying the frying process?"

The oil temperature is consistently monitored by sensors on the pot for accuracy and consistency.

"How do you compare to Thermomix TM5 for the fonctions that are available on both?"

Great question, Steve. Thank you. The MasterSous is different in many ways. To start, the capacity of the thermomix is only 2.3 quarts compared to 6 quarts for the MasterSous so you won’t be able to make Grandma’s spaghetti sauce for the entire family! In addition, the thermomix can only reach a maximum temperature of 248 degrees F. As a result, you can't use it to sear or deep fry like the MasterSous which can reach 450 F. Finally, the price of the MasterSous is less than half of that of the thermomix. - James

"Would you be able to add images on the different stirring and basket attachments?"

Unfortunately, the steamer basket is still in design and we do not yet have a rendering of that. When we get one (it could be soon), we'll post it promptly in the updates section.

The sous vide rack and water stirring mechanism that goes under it is in an image on the Kickstarter page near the top. Thanks for your question!

Regarding the app, will you be able to turn the MasterSous on away from home?
      - Yes! The app can control all features of the machine.

Example being turning it on 2 hours before leaving work so your meal is ready when you get home?
      - That's one of the big benefits of MasterSous.

      Thanks! James
