New Example Project - Digital Dice

Posted by Gordon Williams (Creator)

We've just made a new example project, showing how to make a Digital Dice, from start to finish. It's on our website, and Instructables:

http://www.espruino.com/Project+6

It's perfect for the lights you get either in the Light Pack or Starter kit reward levels!

This is the kind of thing we'll be producing more of in the next few weeks, so that when you get your Espruino board, you'll have lots of ways to get started.

Like it? Want more? Tell your friends and get them to support Espruino as well!

What kind of Projects would you like us to do? If you've got any ideas for projects that could be done in a few hours with Espruino and without specialist tools, let us know in the comments!

Hi Andy, Yes... The simple way is to use BlueTerm on Android, and then you can type JavaScript commands on your phone to control it (like 'forward(10)' etc). You could write a phone app to send commands down serial when buttons are pressed, but that's a bit of work on the Android side.

You can also get a voice controlled robot really easily - you just write some code in Espruino to interpret text such as 'left' or 'right', and then turn on voice typing in Android! I'll try and do a quick video showing it as it's really cool.

So with the blutooth a module could you make a phone controlled robot?
