Hitoshi Sakimoto joins the team and UStream with Joel Goodman

Hello everyone!

Today we have some great news to share with everyone! We have been able to confirm that Hitoshi Sakimoto will be joining the core team along Yasumi Matsuno, Akihiko Yoshida, and everyone here at Playdek to work on Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians, regardless on how the Kickstarter turns out. We can’t see any other composer for this game and we know that most of you can’t either so we are very excited to have Mr. Sakimoto join the team!

Also in case you missed it we broadcasted a live video stream with Joel Goodman, Playdek’s Chief Executive Officer, in order to allow you to ask him questions and find out more about him and this project! He talked about his experiences in the gaming industry, how this project came to be, and even how your suggestions and ideas are impacting this game.

If you want to check out the video then click on the link here:

Thank you as always for your support and comments, they are truly appreciated! We have more planned for this week and can’t wait to share it with everyone so stay tuned!

I think you need core feature's to showcase your game that isn't up on the stretch goals. If you give people something to be excited about that they know they will get instead of something they could be excited about if you got enough money you would have more backers. For instance new game + as a stretch goal could scare away a bunch of people, if you already had it set in stone to be in the game you are no longer scaring people but bringing in more.

Maybe I'm wrong I just really hope your game gets backers :p

This KS can still get funded. I've seen projects get 50% of their funding in the last two days. KS has the "remind" feature which sends out a note when there is only 48 hours left.

The biggest criticism I've seen of this campaign is that there is nothing to show other than the names of those involved.

If you guys do have something to show of actual gameplay, trying to get someone up before that 48 hours might help.

If the KS fails, then when you do have some gameplay video to show, launch a new campaign and reach out to the press to hype the launch right away and I wouldn't be shocked if this suddenly made 2 or 3 million.

If less than 50% of the $20 backers upped to the $50 tier this campaign would be a

Even if all 9000+ $20 backers would all migrate to the $30 tier that would bring in an additional $94,290, and would leave a small amount to be covered in the last three days. Let's hope some of them consider doing at least that much to help this campaign succeed.

Just put my money where my mouth is and upped the pledge from $20 to $50. Hopefully some of the other backers will consider doing this as well, since we're way to close for this KS to fail due to not raising the last $124,000-ish needed.

Going to have to bring my pledge up as well, as I mentioned at the beginning of the campaign Sakimoto-san was needed, and I'm glad you managed to secure his talent for this project.

No reason this project shouldn't succeed swimmingly.

Increasing my pledge by 25%. This kickstarter can succeed if everyone else does the same.
