The product of four years of collaborative working, living and conceptualizing, Slight—Magazine is the effort of photographer Emma Albuquerque and artistic director Harrison Kuykendall. In response to the highly saturated creative environment found in art school, Slight focuses on the world of fashion not found in high retailers and on runways across the world. Slight—Magazine instead chooses to center it’s content on emerging artistic talents, representing a perspective not seen in traditional glossy magazines.
We want to produce a beautiful product that can live on your shelf, but quality printing costs money, so we need your help to make that happen.

Risks and challenges
While in our final year at Maryland Institute College of Art, we are deeply invested in creating our publication and continuing it after our education, but struggled to attain the financial backing needed to print and distribute this issue. We need the help of this Kickstarter and great people like you to raise the funds we were not able to gather on our own.
We want to continue to distribute and show all the work we've done on this issue and any challenges that may arrise on the way we will handle together!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
