4 x badges in a presentation bag like the ones below that were part of a previous Kickstarter campaign...designed by Jeremy Wood.
The Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K was my introduction to computing - at the tender age of 13, Santa Claus brought me Sir Clive's latest machine for Christmas and I can honestly say it was love at first sight.
When pocket money allowed, I adjourned my Speccy with gifts - mostly with the latest games and sometimes even new hardware to extend the machines capabilities.
I read Newsfield's Crash magazine, a magazine that I craved each month to find out what was going on in the world of Spectrum gaming and to see what awesome cover the infamous Oli Frey had conjured up that month.
Those years with the Spectrum as my friend are ones I look back on with enormous fondness and and to me was my golden era of computing.
The video for the campaign is the same as original, so does not map on 100% to this re-print campaign.
This Kickstarter is to raise the funds needed to run a further print run of the very popular Volume 1 of the ZX Spectrum in Pixels series.
Volume 1 has been sold out for over a year, and I receive daily questions on whether there will be another print run. By going to Kickstarter I can gauge interest and the campaign will be a great way to let as many Spectrum fans I can know that a re-print is under consideration.
The book, The Story of the ZX Spectrum in Pixels, is 236 pages in length with the 'Sinclair' logo on the front cover of the paper back version being embossed making the book a desirable addition to any gaming fan or book collector.
For the first time Volume 1 will also be available in hardback format with the cover spot varnished - checkout the campaign perks if this is the version you would like.
The book will be predominantly a visual journey charting the best games on the ZX Spectrum from 1982 onwards within double page spreads.
Each spread has a large iconic image of the game and be accompanied by artwork from the inlay, the game's advertisement where available and further game screens showing the loading screen, menu etc.
We will also be talking to and interviewing 10-15 programmers, artists and musicians to get their view on the Spectrum and how it helped launch their careers into gaming.
And to cap it all off, have captured new imagery of the Spectrum and many of the Spectrum's peripherals.
With the close relationship I have with Roger Kean and Oliver Frey, the book will also contain some great imagery from Crash magazine.
Limited run (35) of Mire Mare game with shiny blue cassette tapes - only 35 for this campaign. Boxed in an Ultimate type box, with badge, poster and double sided instruction card.

Risks and challenges
With the experience of producing 'The History of Ocean Software' and 'The story of US Gold' and the series of ZX Spectrum books produced, the task of producing this re-print to time, quality and budget should not be an issue.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
