About this project
** Philip and Andrew's share of the proceeds from this game will be donated to Special Effect - you can visit their website HERE **
The Oliver twins were profilic coders back in the day creating games for many platforms including the NES. Their most iconic games, of course, are those that included Dizzy as the main character. The Twins did now and again experiment with new franchises and Dreamworld Pogie for the NES was one of them.
The game was never released by Codemasters at the time (some 24 years ago) - the full story of why can be found in 'The Story of the Oliver Twins' book publication that is a perk on this very Kickstarter.
As can be seen from the screens below the game is a colourful sideways arcade adventure where collecting stars is the name of the game.
The source for this game was found by Philip in his attic and with the help of Andrew Joseph and Lukasz Kur, and yourself and this Kickstarter, we will be able to bring you the game, faithfully boxed and packaged with a NES cartridge, poster and instruction booklet just like it would have been in the early 90s if you had bought the game in in your favourite store.
The game will come in PAL A, PAL B or NTSC - when the questionairre at the end of the campaign is sent out, you can make your choice.
Here is how the front and back of the NES game box will look:

Risks and challenges
The aim is to release the game in February of 2017 - with the experience of producing 'The History of Ocean Software' and 'The story of US Gold' and the series of ZX Spectrum books produced, the task of producing this game to time, quality and budget should not be an issue.
The task of creating tha physical game will be costly - the cost primarily represents the creation of the cartridge, pcb, box, instructions and poster. We aim to produce 200 games in total - I need therefore to ensure we raise sufficient funds to produce these games and that they can be be sent out to those who bid in the UK for free.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
