Online performance art website that explores the many talents of Tony Danza and more. Combines humor, obsession, fiction and reality.
Every year Tony Danza makes a vow to master a new craft. "Danza Did It" (aka Danzadidit) is an online performance art project that delves into the idiosyncrasies of celebrities and the fans that love them... all in the name of Tony Danza. It is our goal to create a world that satirically, seriously, and artfully embraces the self-absorption and peculiarity of hollywood. We intend to blur the line between honest admiration and mordant criticism. Like Clay Aiken has Claymates, and Justin Bieber has Beliebers, Tony Danza has what we have coined "Fanzas". Becoming obsessive fans, we intend on presenting an ongoing collection of media pertaining to Tony Danza and pop culture overkill. Through original writing, art, and varying forms of media we are setting out to see just how far we can push a seemingly inane concept (a Tony Danza meme). Ultimately, we would like to create a phenomenon that escapes online virality and trickles gradually into the mainstream.
"Danza Did It" is an ever-evolving work in progress, just like Tony Danza himself. Not content on merely being an actor, Mr. Danza's resume includes a forever growing list of talents: singer, boxer, ukulele player, tap dancer, author, school teacher, etc. It is our goal to have the phrase "Danza Did It" trickle into the everyday lexicon of society. Tony Danza represents someone who has done nearly everything. Hence the meaning of "Danza Did It" as an expression of "It's be done before."
In addition to the many columns featured on "Danza Did It", we plan on having a sister site known as The 3D Podcast. Our podcast will feature in-depth interviews with key individuals involved in some of the most notorious and scandalous stories of our time. We are interested in discussing life after the spotlight has faded.
It is our ambition to conduct a series of revealing interviews with celebrities, politicians, artists, and everyday Americans who have been at the center of a media storm and have had their names plastered in headlines throughout the world. As avid fans of documentary film, we are originating the term “Documentary Podcasting”. We are observing the exploitation of wanted and unwanted celebrity.
Finally, visitors to our website will have opportunities to submit original content and compete in prize-winning contests.
A portion of our funds will first go to pay for and fulfill our Kickstarter rewards. In addition, we need to purchase some quality audio equipment for our podcast as well as ancillary software and hardware. Lastly, we need to purchase select art supplies to bring some of our eccentric Tony Danza related ideas to fruition. Though we plan on finding followers via word of mouth, a small portion of funding will go towards our marketing efforts. Any additional or excess donations will be put to use for the planning and implementation of our Tony Danza-themed "ExtravaDanza Convention" that we hope to make a reality.
Thank you, Fanzas, for your anticipated help.

If our Project Description has not made it excessively clear that we are deadly serious and passionate about this endeavor then we have failed, but I don't think that is the case. We believe in this project and I think it is evident. With backgrounds in comedy, writing, marketing, filmmaking, and television production, I am confident that we have the ability to accomplish our goal of creating an online performance art project and successfully launching our podcast.
Some potential challenges we might face include delays in interviewing, booking, and convincing subjects to be a part of our “Documentary Podcasting”. We are aware that some guests might turn us down, but we are optimistic. At least one of us has been professionally booking guests, interviewing them, and producing stories like this for mainstream television media for over the past 7 years.
We are committed to our vision and our ability to triumph over any challenges.
