About this project
After a few years of discussing it, we finally decided to act! In the past, we have produced our own albums completely in-house. While these were cost effective and 100% tailored to our schedules and ideas, resources could be limited and we were constrained to our own creativity with no real outside-of-the-box thought going to what we had written. We needed an album that was radio-ready and would cross the boundary from country to southern rock while putting our own mountain spin on it. We needed Appalachian Rock! From this, we decided to call in an outside source to, 1) give us an unbiased opinion on how the songs sound and 2) better connect us with top tier resources that we, until now, have had no real connection to.
We chose to produce with one of the boys’ old friend, Rogers Masson. Masson has over 20 years of experience in entertainment production. Working with artists such as Chris Daughtry, Days of Fire, Vintage Trouble, and Marilyn Manson, Masson is able to bring not only experience, but a broad array of genre knowledge to the table. We now have an outside voice, someone who is able to listen to our songs for the first time, someone who can give us creative ideas that we would have never before thought of, and most importantly, someone with the knowledge and experience to provide us with an album that will appease the most critical ear.
THIS IS WHERE YOUR SUPPORT IS VITAL! We have to pay for this. After a whole year of recording, mixing, editing, and mastering, our album is ready! We are ready to share it with YOU. Not only are we looking to share it with our fans, we want to share it with the entire music loving community. We want to provide you with an experience that you will remember. When you sit down on your front porch to relax after a long day, we want you to hear us singing about the simple life. When you recollect on your past and see where you could’ve made better choices, but nevertheless learned from your mistakes, we want you to hear our harmonies recounting how we tested the water ourselves. When you think about lost love, we want you hear us sing about that last chance to feel the closeness. When you want to cut loose, we want to help you get out of control.
True, we are asking you for money. That’s the whole point of having this Kickstarter. However, we don’t want to put ourselves in a position of money being the only thing we care about. Our fan base has always been loyal to us, and that means more to us than you will ever know. We want you to feel connected with us. WE WANT TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE! We want to know that you are a Buchanan Boys Backer and we want you to feel appreciated for having our backs. We are offering several levels of support that will come with our personal way of saying thank you. We hope you will support us as we continue to grow as a band and, most importantly, hope that you can enjoy listening to our new album as much as we enjoyed recording it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Risks and challenges
Our biggest challenge will be getting our music to the right people. The music business is not a friendly one. It is a cut-throat every one for themselves industry that doesn’t, unfortunately, always go for the most talented. We are not signed to a label and this makes pushing into the scene that much more difficult. However, we have networked with several folks that know their own connections through booking, publicizing, and overall exposure. Also, timing is everything. We have consulted with our production team and our booking agent to aid us in timing out our release to the public. In the short time that we will be running this campaign, we hope to raise enough cash to bring in new merchandise, enough album copies to distribute to the masses, and money to offset our costs of producing this album as a whole.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
