Tumbling through my "choose your own adventure" degree, I decided it would be a great time to pump out an EP, a climax for my travels over the last 4 years.
At uni I spent a year studying voice, then one year on guitar, then another year studying songwriting, and all of that has rolled into this (Honours) year which has been wonderful. I get to sit in the producers chair, for my own songs, that I am performing with a bunch of super duper musicians. The recording sessions were a blast and I am so privileged to work with such talented people :)
I have been working on this ep to share with everyone, trouble is... well, sharing it with everyone. Sure I could share it on Facebook/Soundcloud/Youtube and all the rest and I will in the future, but it would be the highest of honours to hand it to you on a CD in a case.
So for that I ask your help.
I truly hope you like the tracks :)
Keep in contact, would love to hear your thoughts and share the journey!
Big thank you to Graeme Groves for the cover photo!
Risks and challenges
This project could have a few setbacks, the first and possibly most likely is that the actual duplication(printing) of the cd and cases takes longer then I expect/leave room for. The last group my band used was super efficient, and eco-friendly/carbon neutral so I would love to go with those guys again - Austep music. In order to be doubly sure that the process runs smoothly, I will do my best to have everything lined up with a week or two in advance.
Another little setback that could potentially occur, is that the people I am relying on for the visual side of things, could be rushed, and I would rather not rush if it means a decline in the quality of the work. There is already a great start being made, by the wonderful creative Hannah Groves and I am definitely into her work!
Thirdly, I could be similarly rushed in the quality of the mix that I hope to achieve, and once again would rather not put time over quality! -Luckily, all the tracks are already feeling great! A few more swipes with a fine tooth comb and then when I get my hands on some more pluggins... Voila!
I can't wait to share this outcome and I truly do hope that none of these setbacks occur, this project has found itself linked into my research at uni and I have some very serious deadlines for the work. As a result, I will get everything coming your way right on time, to the best of my abilities!
Thank you so much for reading and your support. I am very thankful!
