Production Update #1

Posted by Pulp Monsters (Creator)

The first Kickstarter taught us a lot - we want to streamline the production process to an even higher level. Hence this week we had a production meeting with the casters to plan works. Resin production of powerhouses is already underway and production of everything else should start around 10th of November.

We also have test casts of clear resin - it is super difficult to photograph but looks awesome. We will make a choice after consulting with you whether to go with ice clear resin or tint it with blue. You will be the judge. For now, it keeps great detail and is super easy to clean - hobby knife leaves no scuffs, therefore it looks crystal clear.

Also, the remaining models for this campaign are being sculpted. The kennel is growing, I hope you like these cuddle bugs  :)  (Vladimir is more or less nail-sized!)

Have a great weekend,

I vote for clear. Are these clear models multi-piece?

Speaking of the remaining two stretch goals, are they the last two, or would you guys add in more?

And what's your policy regarding multiple Supreme Genesis pledges? Is it maximum of one per person?

I was going to say blue-tinted resin, but everyone made the very good point that clear resin gives us more options, so now I'd prefer clear resin, but I'd still like to see what the blue-tinted resin looks like just to be sure. =)

Clear resin all the way for me.
The dogs are great. I'm especialy fond of Vladimir.
Hope the two remaining dogs will b unlocked.

Maybe it would be nice to have a look at value inked version and test if a hobby knife leaves scuffs on this version. If it will be so I prefer a clear version.

That is what we will probably do. Interestingly, the resin giving the best results cures for about 24hrs. Ouch! A regular mold with resin can turn around 5-6 casts in a workday.

You can always give your test copy a tint and show us how it turns out...;)

Prefer clear too. For tinting etc

Good call guys, I think a thin coat of blue wash can add some funky definition.

Steve makes a good point; clear leaves us with more options as hobbyists.

I would say leave it untinted. I'd rather be able to hit the models with the ink of my choice.
