The Chap has been Britain's longest serving gentleman's magazine for the last 18 years. We have previously launched a modest quantity of men's accessories and now we'd like to launch a more impressive range.
The new line of accessories will be targeted at men but we'd also like to trial a dress for the ladies who follow the Chap style.
With this funding we will make, for the Chaps: silk pocket squares, ties, cravats, cufflinks, lapel badges, shaving brushes, razors, tweed jackets, brogues.
For the Chapettes, we will start with a silk headscarf in the same print as our pocket squares. Then we will use one of our vintage dressmaking contacts to design an exclusive Chapette tea dress in the 1940s style using one of our new prints.
All the items we produce will be well made, in Britain if possible, and of a quality designed to be as long-lasting as it is stylish. We firmly believe that our range of clothing will be unique, classic and elegant but with the eccentric twist we give to everything we do.
A video explaining our project in more detail will be uploaded on Monday 18th September 2017.
All the above products at at the early design stages; we require the funding to complete the design process, make prototypes and put them all into production. Any further details we are able to provide will be added to this page as we proceed towards our goal.

Risks and challenges
The risks are very low: we have produced accessories in the past and our 20,000 followers have always bought them. With investment we can produce a larger range of higher quality items, which will continue to sell indefinitely as they are not fashionable (at least not intentionally).
The funding we raise will be spent on production of the smaller items and prototypes of the larger items. We will also use it to improve our web site and incorporate an e-commerce element to make the purchase of our wares a more pleasant experience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
