Closing the Campaign
We have decided to close our Kickstarter campaign for Shackleton Crater. Our passion for creating a game of lunar colonization has not been shared by sufficient people to realistically continue our Kickstarter campaign, so we are reluctantly ending our current efforts. We wish to thank everyone who contributed to our project. We also thank all of the visitors to our Kickstarter page for showing interest in our proposal.
As part of the feedback we received from everyone we realize that additional gameplay and game details are needed to effectively communicate our product. Our dream of creating Shackleton Crater has not diminished, so we plan to continue our development efforts to provide this detail. Additionally we plan to pursue other opportunities to develop and publish our game. We’ll stay in touch with everyone as our plans solidify.
Once again, our thanks to everyone.

Good luck.

I hope you consider trying again with a less ambitious proposal. Maybe just Phase 1 for now, and you can do Phases 2 and 3 as expansions later.
Also, I urge you to look at the most successful kickstarters, and how well run their promos/tiers/campaign are done. Hope I can back this again soon!

I had a clue three days before that this would happen. At the moment there are to less people who can be got into this special theme. Dealing simulations and developing simulations aren't very popular at the moment and additionally there wasn't any fun factor visible or something suspensefull, which could have made the people interested in. So the only one you picked are the technical freaks far, far away from the mainstream. But unfortunately you must be a little bit (not to much, but a little bit) nearer to the mainstream.
And keep the hint in mind to make a game with six to eight players, playable on LAN. There are so few LAN-titles out there, that this would be a additional argument for some people to buy.
Good luck for your plans and read you again!

Sad to hear that

Disappointing news, but I hope that one day soon I'll get a chance to try my hand at creating a Lunar base. Hopefully I'll see you back here, with more game play details and not competing for media time with Pax and other big title launch titles.

Thanks for the update. It's good to know the project will continue.

I'm sorry you guys had to cancel the campaign, but I'm very glad to hear you're not giving up on the game. I'm heading over to your forums right now to sign up so that I can keep following your progress. Good luck!
