About this project
A young woman's relationship takes a dark turn when every sound her boyfriend makes starts to annoy her. We don't want to spoil the ending for you, but things get a little messy.
A NOTE FROM DIRECTOR AND CO-WRITER, MATT SPICER:
"I'd been wanting to make a short film for a long time but I couldn't think of an idea that I felt was good enough to convince people to dedicate their valuable time and hard-earned money. Then one day my brother and I were talking about relationships, specifically that moment right before you realize you need to break-up with someone where literally everything they do starts to rub you the wrong way. We all know that break-ups can be a little messy sometimes, but we started asking ourselves: What was the messiest break-up we could imagine?
This film is our answer. Ultimately, it's not just a comedic look at the end of a relationship, but it's also about the dangers of not expressing your true feelings and not getting out of something while you still can."
WHY SHOULD YOU FUND THIS PROJECT?
Making films, even short films, can be an expensive undertaking. Thankfully, we've been able to pull together a talented team of creative people who are willing to work with us in order to build new relationships and because they believe in the material. Because of the combined passion of everyone involved, we'll be able to make this film for as little money as possible. Unfortunately, there are some things you can't get for free, especially if you want the film to look and sound as good as something you'd see at your local multiplex, and because our goal is for this film to compete in high-profile festivals, like Sundance and South by Southwest, quality is of the utmost importance.
SO WHERE WILL YOUR MONEY BE GOING?
The money we raise on Kickstarter will be put towards our hard costs, which include but are not limited to the following:
- Equipment Rentals (camera, lenses, lighting, sound, editorial)
- Props & Costumes/Wardrobe Rental
- Practical Effects & Make-Up (fake blood, fire, etc.)
- Sound Design & Mixing (ADR, Foley, studio rental, etc.)
- VFX & Color Correction
- Transportation & Location Fees/Permits
- Festival Submission Fees
Here's a look at some of the talented people involved...
