About
Thanks for checking out our campaign! Artterro is a small, sustainable business in Madison, WI. We design eco art kits with beautiful artist-quality materials, loved by kids and creative adults. As a self-funded start-up, we are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come— even in this challenging economy. We still have a ways to go, however, to grow our inventory, hire more staff, and get the word out about our products and company
So—we are reaching out to YOU—our community—to kickstart the next stage of our business development! With this campaign, we hope to raise $30,000, which will fund our next production run at the non-profit Goodwill Industries in Milwaukee, WI, where our kits are assembled by people with special needs.
If we raise $200,000, production will be funded for the WHOLE YEAR! We'll also be able to hire more staff, employ more people at Goodwill and get the word out about our great company. In exchange for your pledge, you receive our innovative products at a great price. Stock up on birthday gifts, plan a craft night with friends, or even get some holiday shopping done extra early! See details of reward packages below.
And Remember-- we only receive funding and you only get charged if we reach our $30,000 goal by our Earth Day Deadline. So please pledge today!
What Is An Artterro Eco Art Kit?

An Eco Art Kit is a collection of beautiful,
natural materials and fresh, creative project ideas; each one offers a fun,
engaging art experience that delights kids and grown-ups alike. When you open up one of our twelve titles,
you’ll notice the materials are not the usual assortment of plastic beads, pipe cleaners and flimsy construction paper. Instead, you’ll enjoy hand-felted wool, gorgeous handmade (100% recycled) papers, glass, wood and shell beads, copper wire, and other unique, artist-quality materials. No two kits are exactly alike, each features a unique assortment of colors and patterns. Each kit contains enough materials for 2 people to do multiple projects.
After you explore the lovely materials, let your imagination run wild! Making art by hand with family and friends is a fun, satisfying experience that will bring you closer together. No matter your age or ability, our open-ended projects help you immerse yourself in the process of creativity.
Our kits make excellent gifts for kids, and the artistic grown-ups in your life.
It can be an absolute joy to
wake up your innate creativity at any age!
What Is Artterro and What Makes It Special?

At Artterro, we believe everyone is born creative, deriving
deep satisfaction and joy from making things by hand. With our twelve Eco Art Kits, our goal is to
make it easy, fun and affordable to fulfill that need.
Our office is in the Madison Enterprise Center, a business incubator space in Madison, WI. Inside you’ll find four women who are passionate about art, sustainability and entrepreneurship, and three high school students participating in a business mentoring program.

We source our gorgeous materials from ethical,
family-owned companies, many of them right here in the US. Because we are committed to providing
living-wage jobs in our community, our kits are assembled by people with
special needs at Goodwill Industries in Milwaukee, WI. Our packaging is recycled and reusable—it can be upcycled into a
beautiful frame for your finished artwork.

We are building a brand that stands for creativity, quality and
fun! Along with our business goals, we
also strive to improve all children’s access to art by sponsoring free
community events and donating our kits to great causes like Buddy Cruises, Project Kids in Cambodia, and
school arts programs.

What is the money for?
We are reaching out to our community in order to kickstart the next stage of our business development. Our goal of $30,000 will fully fund our next production run at Goodwill Industries in Milwaukee. That means that besides helping out Artterro, you’re also sustaining a wonderful non-profit, empowering a community of people with special needs, and showing your support for US-based labor!
If we wildly exceed our expectations and manage to raise $200,000 or more, we can fund an entire year of production, plus create more green, living-wage jobs here in Madison and at Goodwill in Milwaukee. We would also implement a more robust marketing strategy, sponsoring many more free art projects in our community (like Forrest's dream of riding a bicycle-powered art-cart around town for impromptu projects) and at consumer festivals all over the country. We'd also be able to move forward with exciting new project ideas like an Origami kit and a Paint With Wool Creature Kit!
What’s the Big Picture?
Artterro is just one of the small businesses that are developing the New Economy, based on environmental and social responsibility, quality vs. quantity, creativity and sustainable growth. The crowd-funding model makes perfect sense for a company like ours, because we believe in voting with our dollars (and hopefully you do too!).Why buy a kit through Kickstarter?
We are offering our beautiful eco art kits at a nicely reduced price with free US shipping. These upfront sales will fund our next production run and you get a great deal! Check out our website to see detailed descriptions of each kit.
Once we produce the kits (1-2 months) you’ll receive your order, and know that you helped a small, sustainable business grow. If you'd like to order 2 or more of the same package, just add up the total amount and the survey we take at the end of the campaign will give you an opportunity to clarify what rewards you want.
Remember—we only get funded if we reach our $30,000 goal so now is a great time to order kits and spread the word about our campaign!
