As we are hardcore gamers just like you, we want to bring some changes to these.
In Zold:out, you are the shopkeeper of a weapon store and your target is to make your weapon store great. The weapon store provides the space for you to smith & trade weapons and recruit workers for your store. As weapons used in each battle may adjust according to different conditions, you have to smith different weapons for your team to ensure they have appropriate weapons to fight during the journey.
We targeted to make Zold:out as an innovative multi-platform(iOS & Android) Tactical RPG with Mobile & PC support . As the development cost of PC version is much higher than that of mobile version, we planned to launch the mobile version at the beginning to provide financial support for the PC version development.
The story happened at the time transportation technology started to develop, though the technology was not mature yet, it helped people filled with curiosity to explore the unknown places in this land.
For those business people, this was a great opportunity to develop the new markets. The story of Zold:out began at the day Oscar, the young man grew up in the business family, acquired a small weapon store facing bankrupt. They sold the weapons to the people equipped with poor condition weapon, and smithing more weapon from time to time.The weapon store business grew and became famous in this land.
When they know more hearsay during the journey, the world war-level conspiracy gradually shown. Partners in weapon store can not turn a blind eye, and they collaborated to protect this land and brought a new world order to their home.
Our team aims to bring something different to the Tactical RPG gameplay. We combine the elements from card games and expand the flexibility for players to create Their own ways to win their battle. The following are the new things bring by Zold:out.
Redefined movement path, Free from the regulation of chessboard
The limitation in chessboard in common Tactical RPG maybe a kind of feature or tradition to Tactical RPG, but what if we changed the chessboard into a free-moving area? We designed the chessboard of Zold:out into a free-moving chessboard, characters are not limited by neither the large square grids , or the horizontal-vertical directions. Players could make more move and block combination.
This feature provide a more intuitive control of the character, as there are no limitation of the large grid, players could use their creativity and the knowledge of geometry to beat the enemies.
Redefined the number of actions in each turn, Multi-action in turns
The order of action is depending on the stamina of characters. Character can do multi actions in each turn, each action consumes Stamina. Characters can spend their stamina to use multiple weapons in each turn and you can make incredible combos with it.
Players can do nimble attacks with less stamina consuming weapon and sidestep enemies attack; or you can use all the stamina to do powerful attack on the boss at once. You have to consider the weapon and stamina spending collocation to achieve offense and defense exchange through the battles.
Redefined Character features, Increase character's skill set flexibility
For Zold:out , move & action of characters were set according to the weapons assigned by player. Skills and weapons can be set according to the need for different stages.
Characters have their own featuring main and passive skills, you have to assign suitable weapon and arrange teammate to characters to fully shown their potential.
Weapon Deck & Team Formation
One of important features in Zold:out is 'Weapon Deck'. Each character has their own master weapon ; you can design your own teams with suitable weapons and characters to achieve the best combination for your fight. The weapons will share among teammates; hence you have to consider how one action will affect to the future actions. You can put different weapons in the characters and share the weapons with other teammates.
You can gather all the material for smithing weapon through battles. All the material for crafting will available in battles.They can help you to craft better weapons, and excel weapons help you to do perfect battles.
The tracks are composed by well-know mobile rhythm game Dynamix’s composers. For the theme song of the game is dominated by orchestral instruments, to create a classical, medieval and fantasy atmosphere and the following are some examples of the BGM of our game. We are a Hong Kong game develop company that aim at making the best mobile game for our players.Our first hardcore music game Dynamix, we brought a new gaming experience on the dimension to rhythm game, and is welcomed by players from different countries. Risks and challenges
We are an indie game develop company, the slogan of our company is 'We make Real Portable Games'. Some people would consider mobile games are only 'casual' game due to the limitations of hardware. But we believe them there are possibility for us to make games close to the console game quality within the mobile device limitations.
As an indie game develop company, the risks we face are usually due to the limitations in financial support. We can manage the expenses of in-house production, but for the part that requires external resources for example the art assets ,character voice & sound assets, we need your support to acquire them .
In our schedule, the closed-beta version will be completed on or before November 2017. We will update our progress twice a month to ensure all of you are well informed about the development progress.
