Single mothers today, it’s a common sight today but between the 1950s and 1980s it was unheard of, the reason? A history of lies and cruelty casts a dark shadow on those who were victim to the practice of forced adoption. Maggie Wilkinson is one of these women, she committed no crime but had her child stolen from her simply because she was unwed at the time. Persecuted by the church and told she was unfit to be a mother, Maggie has since become an advocate for the fight for an official enquiry into the forced adoptions as well as looking to change adoption to guardianship.

Risks and challenges

The only challenge we are facing right now is funding!! We have interviewees and a crew ready to go! All we need to do is now is get the funding needed to get this project going!
