Every year in the US, we throw away about 3 billion batteries.  A billion is a big number.  If you strung 3 billion batteries end to end, they would wrap around the entire earth 4 times! 

Battery waste has been piling up in America’s landfills for over a hundred years. Household batteries contain toxic chemicals that are harmful to all forms of life. When these discarded batteries are exposed to the elements, those chemicals inevitably leak and enter the environment.   

This pollution can be entirely avoided by using earthCell batteries.

How earthCell Solves the Problem

earthCell batteries are a new type of battery technology called low self-discharge nickel metal hydride (LSD NiMH).  These are some of the best batteries on the market, and are far superior to the regular alkaline batteries that most people buy and throw away. (details below)

They will last longer than almost any battery you've ever used.  Then, at the end of the battery's charge, all you do is put them in the prepaid earthCell mailer.  When the mailer is full, you drop it in the mail, and we'll take care of them. 

When we receive the batteries, we can revitalize them with our specialized infrastructure hundreds of times.  If a battery doesn't meet our specification, we then dismantle it and reuse the valuable materials inside to make new batteries.
