So if you already watched the video, the "post rock party band" bit is kind of a joke. It's kind of a joke because Remora isn't really party music, but it's kind of true because most post rock bands seem to not be willing to have a sense of humor about their work. I mean, what other band will do a 40 minute bliss-drone set & end by yelling out, "Spring break 2006!" & shooting a beer or inappropriately spitting blood? (Wait, is spitting blood ever not appropriate?)
Anyway, I want to get some new shirts made. I haven't had new Remora shirts in almost ten years now. I have a design I think is pretty fun & cool, but to be honest I don't tour much anymore & t-shirts have always been something that haven't sold well for me over the internet. So I just want to make a few for fans & get them out to them.
For those interested, Remora's "I Came To Party" EP is the first in a series of five songs in five minute EPs from Silber Records. Remora started back in 1996 & has had over 20 releases on more than a half dozen labels including Silber, Fluttery, Gears of Sand, Morc, Best Kept Secret, Ping Things, Somehow Ecstatic, & North Pole.
Risks and challenges
I've been doing this band since 1996. T-shirts have always been a little risky for me because they take up a lot of the small amount of space I have & cost a lot to ship compared to other items at the same price point. But that said, I really want to have some shirts available to people who want them.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
