In the fall of 1994 I did the first interviews for my zine QRD. I wanted to read in depth interviews with the band I loved & the only way I could was by doing the interviews myself. For 20 years now QRD has been helping spread the word about my favorite musicians.
Recently I’ve noticed more & more of my friends steering away from the internet & doing the majority of their reading on eReaders. So I know it’s time for QRD to make the shift. For our launch into doing eBooks, I’m starting with our most popular series, our guitarist interviews with 60 in depth questions with guitarists about their instrument & their craft. All 150+ interviews all in one collection.
In addition I asked the guitarists if they’d like to take part in a compilation to go with the eBook & so far we have about 40 guitarists taking part in that with promises of more appearances. So get the book or get the compilation or both or even suggest who we pursue for the next installment of the series.
Want to read the last eleven interviews we did? Just go over here.
Our First Stretch Goal:
At $300 going out free to everyone getting the ebook will be an additional ebook of our similar interview series with bassists.
Our Second Stretch Goal:
At $500 (or 50 backers, whichever comes first) going out free to all backers at all levels (even a dollar) will be a short ebook collecting the best stories of what happened to people's first guitar.

Risks and challenges
I've already done a couple of eBooks mainly to test the software I have, so that should be fine. I already have all the interviews in. I've put together over a dozen compilations over the years, so that should go pretty smoothly as well. With the exception of some crazy computer catastrophe, I see pulling this off without a hitch.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
