About

Will the great walled city of Boston fall under Legion control? Or will the British find a way to dig in and hold out against the onslaught? Will the Americans take advantage of this distraction with a sneak attack or will they hold the peace? Your choices will shape the future of us all.

The Attack on Boston is our first expansion module and story arc. It comes with 15 all new miniatures, expanded powers and a new scenario. This expansion features 100 point army box sets for the Legion of Damned, the United American Territories and the British American Colonies.

Each box set contains:

  • 5 Miniatures: a Major, a Captain and a squad of three support units
  • 5 Character Cards
  • 5 Miniature Bases: 4 – 30mm and 1 - 40mm
  • Rules and Ability Reference Sheets

Ictus is a customizable miniature based skirmish game for two or more players. Ictus has multiple game scenarios including cooperative play so you’ll never get bored. With easy to follow rules game play is fast, usually around 15 minutes for a standard 2 player 100 point army match.

The game is set in the steampunk apocalypse of 1909, a little more than a hundred years after the war for independence was interrupted by the opening of the first ictus rift. Now after decades of war an uneasy peace has settled in. But skirmishes are still frequent along the borders with courageous commanders like you defending their homeland.

What you buy determines where the story goes. At the conclusion of the Attack on Boston we will create a special unit for the most popular faction.

Pick Your Side

The British American Colonies: Entrenched

Facing overwhelming numbers of terrible mindless creatures with no concern for self-preservation the British Troops have no choice but to hunker down behind their walls. But, to the south of Boston a sneak attack has been launched, a highly unusual tactic for the Legion. Combat Engineers scramble quickly to the area and entrench, slowing the enemy’s progress. Can they hold out until reinforcements arrive?

The Legion of the Damned: Snacrafice

L.O.D. Snacrafice

For reasons and objective not yet known a specialized force has been sent to attack the southern flank of Boston. Legion tactics usually involve throwing (dead) bodies at the enemy in mass. So it is quite surprising to find a group of Cultists skulking about looking for way past defenses. Along with the cultists two horrific demons stride through the British troops, slaughtering them where they once stood. The demons pause only to feast upon a cultist or two, regaining strength for the fight ahead. Will they breach the innermost wall or will their walking buffet run low?

The United American Territories: Polarize

There may have been peace in the south for some time, but that does not mean war preparations stop. The Americans have been working on standardizing and scaling down their infamous Heretic Engines. New “can’t miss” weapons make their beam strikes seem drawn to the enemy with unnerving accuracy. Ready for war, will the Americans launch a preemptive strike against the British or Legion held Lands? Or will they heed the warning to protect the homeland; that the Empire of Castile is on the move?

Miniatures

Our miniatures are 3D printed. Heck yeah! So you are going to get some incredible details and cool designs like you have never seen before!

No mold lines!

Each miniature comes to you with printer sprues and platform still attached for extra protection during shipping. Sprues are easily removed so you can get to playing or painting quickly.

Each miniature goes through a three stage cleaning process so that it’s ready for painting. No primer needed!

The miniatures are made from a strong, but flexible material. No more having to replace dropped miniatures. Everything is manufactured in Oregon, where we keep it weird.

Risks and challenges

After our first try on Kickstarter we decided to go fund ourselves. Our first try we didn’t have any physical product in hand, only an idea. But here we are, having met our original challenge and built upon it.

We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from our players and other professional game developers. We played hundreds of games at EUCON last year (we will be back again this year, November 11-12 2017). We’ve refined the rules and adjusted our product to meet your needs. And we think both the gameplay, variety, setting and miniatures are fantastic.

However, there are a small number of people who just don’t like miniatures unless they are white metal. And honestly after playing and painting white metal minis for decades these plastic ones feel a little light in the hand. But after painting a few of these we’d never go back to the old metal ones. No more spending hours upon hours cleaning up mold lines and prepping the surface. No more priming, now we can get right in and start painting. The way it was meant to be.

Some people don’t like that the smaller parts have a little flexibility to them. To them we say it’s actually a good thing. Without the flexibility of smaller parts they would simply snap off. This allows us to create more detailed, and technical miniatures that will still stand up to the rigors of game play (and being knocked off the work bench by the cat).
