Please Don't Throw Me In The Briar Patch
Just when my project seemed like it was hitting the big slowdown in the middle, after the initial excitement had worn off but before the last minute backers get in right before the campaign ends, a sudden sure of supporters has come. Mostly from Reddit. I can't imagine what it might've been about my latest thread that caused it to bring in so much more support than all the others.
What's important is that it put it us over the Pathfinder stretch goal! Petals and Thorns will be converted to Pathfinder, and all $15 and up backers will receive .pdf and VTT versions of the adventure with Pathfinder-compatible stats, DCs, magic items and etc. by the end of January 2019.
We've hit triple our initial goal and it's still only the first week. I'm confident now that this campaign will be a big enough success to really bring Ramshorn and its surroundings to life with plenty of tokens to make the encounters as visually distinct as they are mechanically and thematically. First on that list is the hirelings. These guys help offset any deficiencies the party has and allows small parties to beef up their numbers to handle the harrowing encounters lurking in and underneath the wilderness. Nobody has to play the healer or the meatshield or whatever unless they want to. It's important to keep these fine fellows distinct from the townspeople they hang out with, the monsters they fight in the field, and the faction mooks who may end up the players' enemies. I'm confident we can make it happen, and I'm hoping we'll see it happen before the end of day ten.
So, hey, Pathfinder fans! Thanks to my backers' support, this is your adventure, too. Come take a look.
