All Aboard with History's Heroes: TheRustyBucketKids.com an award winning, x3 Emmy™ nominated, family-friendly, live-action scripted, broadcast-ready television series, which combines educational content with family entertainment.  Edutainment!

The series focuses on tween and teenager, Roxanna and JohnColeman Peakssen, portrayed by real life brother and sister JohnColeman and Roxanna Demers. The pair travel back through time on Steamy - The Time Travel Express™ magic train, Locomotive No. 17 and Caboose 308 of the New Hope Valley Railway.

The story is told by Roxanna Peakssen, and at the time she is in college, and writing about what she and her younger brother did over the past number of years.  Original music is by Craig Brandwynne at Center Sound Records and performed by Roxanna & The Rusty Bucket Band.

Guided by their best friend Miles (Akin Williams),  from his technological den of computers and gadgets, Roxanna and JohnColeman assist teenage historical heroes meet their destiny as they define the independence and culture of America. The duo struggle to make sure that The Shadow Man, our mysterious villain, does not change history.

While on these adventures JohnColeman, Roxanna and Miles solicit help from  members of The Rusty Bucket Kids Club like: Grandpa Peakssen, (Charlie Gaddy), the town manager Nate Weever, (Mark Roberts) as well as the Latin pair,  Rodolfo, (Pablo Vega) and Carlina, (Irene Santiago) and  others.

Miles welcomes club members on-line, asking for their help in deciphering clues about an important land deed and unmasking the Shadow Man's identity. Uploading member's videos, Miles chooses the ones which will end up in broadcast show.

We will engage our fans at various levels and across a number of distribution platforms. You can become a member too! Join us! You see, once a member of The Rusty Bucket Kids Club, always a member, no matter how old you get.

The original two-part pilot, "Lincoln, Journey to 16." has aired on local and regional broadcast television stations.  The to be revised "Lincoln, Journey to 16." will broadcast on WRAL – TV sometime in early to mid 2016 along with additional episodes.  Yes we have distribution in Raleigh, and central North Carolina on WRAL - TV.  Scott Mason the Tarheel Traveler at WRAL TV did an interview with John this sentence is the link.

THE FUNDS: As you can see we don't need to get all our production funds here at Kickstarter. We see the effectiveness in using them to round out our funding on episodes. So our use of funds in this campaign, is to finish the reedit of the original pilot episode, "Lincoln, Journey to 16." and have it ready for viewing by early 2016.

Several scenes of the original pilot episode, "Lincoln, Journey to 16," have already been filmed and are ready to be used.   The new scenes and new visual effects freshen up the story line and allow the kids in the show to visit themselves back in-time.  Yeah more VFX, check out the sizzle reel or trailer that double time travel space time continuum thing is cool to watch and very Star Trek, or Dr. Who oriented.

Should we exceed our funding goal of $10,000. Then we have a stretch goal ready to go.  You see we have two scenes that we would like to film in Concord, Massachusetts at the home of Louisa May Alcott known as The Orchard House.  We have already begun production on the Alcott episode and the article "Apex's The Rusty Bucket Kids TV Show Explores Past with Eye on the Future" in the News & Observer, August 2015,  really tells our story.

Risks and challenges

Our project faces the usual risks and challenges of any film and TV production.
The project could be delayed due to production issues. We've offset the risks as much as possible with contingency plans and a top-rate production team.
Production delay would cause the rewards to be delayed.
We cannot provide digital or ship DVD's if the episode has not been completed.
