About this project
Kitchen Gym was born from the genius mind of Rybekah Roxton-Sandbach - although Graham Lewis supports and agrees with her more than 100%.
Here’s the Coldplay bit…
We met in rehab two years ago. Graham had worked in music PR and had all the trimmings of a man who’d lost the colour from his chakra. Typical of a weak man, he turned to drugs. Hard drugs like coke, cocaine and Special K.
Rybekah, that’s me, basically saved him (although a thank you should go to Harri Grace whose heart attack allowed Graham to get a brand new septum, as Graham's had eroded). Once Graham was out of the evil grips of his addiction to drugs and alcohol, he began replacing one addiction with another. He became a slave to flave and ate himself into a fat mess.
One night while Graham was watching his 7th episode of How to be a Domestic Goddess, and Rybekah was watching Graham get bigger and bigger, she had an idea…
Watching people cook is one thing, but surely there’s a way to stay active and have fun at the same time...?
It’s madness that nobody has done this yet! Kitchen Gym will be a series of DVD’s that you can buy from shops and from Amazon which combine exercise AND recipes for scrummy smoothies.
Risks and challenges
As addicts, we know only too well the dangers of complacency, procrastination and alcohol. We met in a rehab clinic and we have absolutely no intention of going back there.
That means that staying fit, healthy and positive are the corner stones of our relationship and of the Kitchen Gym DVD project.
We know Kitchen Gym is a multimillion dollar idea just waiting to happen. Or waiting 'to be actioned' as our American friends might say.
We've already got a fabulous director on board to film the DVD - Jon Drever (genius) over at Grain Media in South London. He's got access to camera and sound equipment and we've got access to fruit so all potential challenges should be pretty straightforward to overcome.
Have you ever just known something was going to go ahead without a hitch? Have you ever known it deep in your goolies? Well Graham knows it. In his goolies. My goolies. So help us help you. Love, Graham.
P.S. I have thought of one potential problem. If Rybekah was ever to leave me then I really don't know what I'd do. It won't happen. She told me that she loves me. I tell her I do, ALL the time. You've seen her dancing. You know exactly what I'm talking about. She's a 10. End of. She says I was an 8 when we first met and that I'm a 6 now, at least. The luckiest 6 in the world.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
