Jambadoo is a Bluetooth audio receiver that can connect to 3 devices simultaneously and play music from all of them, while giving great sound quality.

Here's Jambadoo in action:

How is Jambadoo different from any Bluetooth receiver already in the market?
Available Bluetooth receivers only allow one phone to be connected at a time. With Jambadoo, you and two of your your friends will be connected and ready to play music. As soon as you press PLAY, your phone's music come out from the speakers. You don't need others to PAUSE, and you don't need to disconnect and reconnect which takes a lot of time and causes awkward silences. It's easy, fun and allows to share your music with all. When your friends press PLAY, their music come out from the speaker and your music is automatically Paused. As simple as that! Try, it! We're the first and only to offer this experience.
Of course, Jambadoo brings all the goodies that come with a great audio product: it uses high quality audio codecs such as aptX and give you digital audio output in addition to the standard analogue one. Great battery life (10h+) and good range (10 to 20m) are also not to be underestimated.
What have we done so far?
We have invested a lot of time and effort to get multi-connection to a point where it's simple, easy, and reliable to use. It may sound like a straight forward idea, however, it took hours and hours of development and testing. The main changes we had to face were reviewing low level Bluetooth timing and control messaging and make sure it worked with every phone available. This is something that has not been done before and we have filed several patents.
We now have fully functional prototypes we use everyday in our office and at home. Our goal is to take this team pet project into production so that everybody can enjoy it!
Who are we?
We are a group of engineers working in Cambridge, England. We work for BlueCreation, a company specialising in Bluetooth and audio. We started working on Jambadoo in the office in our spare time because we wanted to push some boundaries and make something unique. We want to share this with you now!
Before BlueCreation, we used to work for CSR, a Bluetooth chip maker which has about 80% market share of all Bluetooth audio accessories and which owns the aptX® audio codec technology.
What will the funding be used for?
We have already invested a lot in building a fully functional prototype with hardware and software that accomplish everything we promised ourselves to do. The money that will be raised from this campaign will be used to bring Jambadoo to production. This includes money to invest in a production plastic injection-mould tooling, setting up manufacturing, obtaining FCC and CE certifications, and producing the initial 300 products.
The milestones for this project are:
1) Complete Phone Interoperability Testing: 15 Jul 2013
2) Select Tool maker and manufacturing partners: 28 Jul 2013
3) Moulding tool and 20 PCBs produced: 19 Aug 2013
4) 20 pre-production prototypes: 2 Sept 2013
5) Beta testing with feedback: 16 Sept 2013
6) Final PCB and software modifications: 30 Sept 2013
7) Production Run1 (100 units): 4 Nov 2013
8) Certification complete: 11 Nov 2013
9) Production Run2 (>200 units): 24 Nov 2013

Risks and challenges
Having developed a fully functional prototype we are putting all our efforts so that no logistical challenge will delay the delivery to our backers. We have contacted relevant manufacturing partners, factored in the lead time and delivery schedule any possible technical delays (like unforeseeable moulding difficulties), and we actually believe that we can start delivery before the scheduled date.
However, if it comes to making a decision between quality and timing, we will choose quality as we are determined to bring you the best audio listening experience over Bluetooth. Should this happen, we have additional development resources that we can use to minimize delay.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
