About

Cute Little Bastards, a strategic, dark humored card game for 2 – 4 players, where you build up an army of cute little bastards, while obliterating your opponent’s chances of victory, using evil tactics!

The game proceeds in turns. Each player is drawing random cards from the deck, and then trying to come up with the best tactic for how to win with the options at hand. You win the game by having the most Cute Little Bastards on the board at the end of your turn AND drawing a Fantastic Point card. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

The deck is made up of all kinds of cards that lets you mess up your opponents strategy, the tricky part is the offensive cards most often requires you to sacrifice your own cute little bastards. Balancing offensive tactics with the amount of sacrifices you can afford to make is essential to win a game of Cute Little Bastards.

All cards has a different effect on the gameplay, knowing what to play and when to play it, is what will make you win the game!

You put the 70 main cards on the table and the 30 cute little bastard cards beside it, leave space beside this deck for the discard pile. The discard pile is for cards that has been played or dead cute little bastards.

Each player then draws five cards from the main deck. When it is your turn, you want to play as many cards that allow you to draw cute little bastards, as possible.

You also want to play cards that either instantly deals destruction to your opponents or build up an army that continuously can attack when you need it to.

But be carefull not to play too many offensive cards as most of them requires you to sacrifice your own cute little bastards to play.

Some cards require you to sacrifice a whole cute little bastard, other only requires a half. To sacrifice a half cute little bastard, simply just flip the card. The cute little bastard cards all have a unique backside.

At the end of your turn you draw new cards until you again have five cards in your hand. If you draw a fantastic point AND you have the most cute little bastards on the board, you get the point. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

For some years now, I have done paintings and had exhibitions around where I live. My abstract art has been shown in Blaavand, Esbjerg, Aarhus and many other places. I just find that painting these paintings and hanging them on walls, really does not do the trick for me. I like it much more when you can interact with the art in some way, like card games, board games, books and things like that. I also found that fantasy art and illustrations was much more fun to paint, so I had to try something new. All this combined with my love for card games got me into the idea of creating Cute Little Bastards.

It has taken a long time to get to where I am now with the game. I have done all the design of the game myself, the rules, the art, the video for the Kickstarter, everything! I must admit that the last ten months have been really busy, but it has also been a lot of fun.

All I need now is your help making this dark humored card game come to life!

Risks and challenges

Making a card game is not rocket science. The hard part of designing the game, drawing the cards, play testing and fitting it all to a print friendly format, is done already.

There are many card producers located around the world that are able to manufacture a product such as this, with ease. The only thing I can see could potentially become a challenge is if the amount of backers sky rockets. To counter this issue I have already contacted quite a few card producers around the world, this should make sure that you do not have to wait for too long before your product arrives.

Unless I get hit in the face by the Brick of Karma, I really cannot see how this project could go all wrong.

Time is my biggest concern. I only have 24 hours a day, and I do have to work, sleep and eat. Still, I plan to dedicate all my awaking hours to answer any question that might come up and do my very best to make sure that this Kickstarter campaign runs as smoothly as it can.
