Great news regarding stitching!

Posted by Fuel3D Inc. (Creator)

Hello everyone, and especially to those of you who are keen to see automatic stitching capabilities available with Fuel3D.

It will come as no surprise to learn that we have had significant interest in this feature from all over the world. As a result, we have held discussions with Uformia and agree that the stitching functionality is important enough that we will work together to develop an enhanced stitching feature in MeshUp that will be offered as standard with all Fuel3D/MeshUp bundles, even though it is unlikely we will reach our stretch goal target for stitching. This means that Uformia will aim to deliver a 'state of the art' automated registration and stitching workflow that will be seamlessly integrated into the MeshUp software in time for the launch of Fuel3D next year.

We are sure you will agree that this is great news for everyone! Please keep spreading the word, as people still have a few days to ensure they get their hands on a Fuel3D scanner for less than final retail price, and now with the extra bonus of being able to add MeshUp with its new automatic stitching feature.

Thanks for all your support!

Did this ever eventuate? I'm on the beta list for Uformia's Meshup but there's no auto alignment or stitching in that product currently. I'm guessing after three years it's no longer coming as promised.
My guess is our only choice is to pay for Fuel Inc's subscription only Studio software. Correct?

Outstanding! This alone will make Fuel3D and Uformia a formidable combo.
I have no doubt this will pay dividends in the long run.

That's fantastic!!!!!!! That's a great job at listening your backers.

So what you mean it's a semi-automatic approach in which the software and I help each other? I tell the software the overall correlation/ubication of a new scan vs a previous scan and the software notices and using different coloring or snapping gets me the perfect stitching without guesswork. Or something like that. Well, you can give the details later, anyways, that's awesome.
