Please have patience

Hello All! There has been a lot happening since my last update, and i wanted to keep you informed on our progress. I traveled to China in April to premiere Buzkashi Boys at the Beijing International Film Festival, where it was received with rave reviews. We screened at the Big Island festival in Hawaii at the end of May, and Palm Springs at the end of june. I was also invited by the US Government to screen in a few cities in Italy - san remo, florence, naples, and rome - and the film was received very well by the Italians. We are investigating opportunities to add it to school curiculae. This summer has proved to be very busy for all of us, but we are making progress - and we will be in touch regarding everyone's rewards. We will also have a new website up soon, and are working to edit the behind the scenes "making of" documentary. Our next big festival will be Montreal at the end of August. I'd like to invite everyone who can make it to join us there! They haven't posted the program yet, but we'll let you know when we will be screening as soon as we know. Please stay tuned for more updates soon, and we look forward to sharing the film with all of you. Best, Sam

What happens now

I'm sure you've all been wondering what's happening with the film now that we've made our goal. We've been hard at work over the last few weeks putting the finishing touches on the edit and prepping for final output and delivery.

I'm proud to announce that Buzkashi Boys will be finished this week!

You will all be contacted soon about what happens next. We'll be getting everyone their rewards over the coming months, and I will keep you updated on the film's progress.

The first exciting bit of news I'd like to share is that we have been accepted into both the Beijing International Film Festival and the Big Island Film Festival in Hawaii. We screen in Beijing at the end of the month and in Hawaii at the end of May. We are waiting to hear back from many other festivals as well.

So thank you again for helping make Buzkashi Boys a reality. And I look forward to sharing the continued journey of the film with all of you!

Yours Sincerely,

Sam French

We made it!

Buzkashi Boys has achieved liftoff!

Thank you to everyone who supported us. This has been an amazing week, and I have been truly humbled by the community which has rallied around the film.

We've reached our initial goal, but we still need additional funds to get the film seen as widely as possible. Please continue spreading the word - every bit helps!

Yours Sincerely,
