Castle Assault is an intense Battle Card Game for 1 or 2 Players where You lead a strategic conquest of your Enemy's Castle Stronghold. Castle Assault includes many different Cultures, each with their own customizable deck, tactics, and lore for great re-playability.
The unique 1-Player Campaign progresses through numerous Scenarios with different victory conditions and as you complete Scenarios and mini-quests Your Hero levels-up and gets even more powerful! You customize your Heroes to the path You want them to follow.
Gameplay begins by summoning Units from your hand to your Castle Rampart to physically move across the Battlefield toward your opponent. Victory is through destruction of your opponents Castle as your Units execute tactics via their stats and abilities. Games are completed in 30 minutes or less and are "Fast, FUN, and easy to pick-up".

Castle Assault assimilates exciting concepts from many popular games and streamlines the complexity to create an easy to pick-up, fast, FUN game.
1-Player Campaign. One massive storyline across 9 different Scenarios each with their own differing path to Victory. Complete the campaign once per Culture for 54 Different experiences!
Role-playing element to Level-up your Hero. As you defeat the Single Player Campaign you gain Levels; which you can then use to customize your Hero. Each Hero is different but you decide what path you want to take your Hero (do you want an all-or-nothing Fighter?, a Ranged expert?, or perhaps a Healer who will focus on supporting and promoting your on-Battlefield Units) You decide your path to Victory!
Intense 2 Player battles with 260+ cards and 6 Player Cultures for extremely varying gameplay and rich strategic experiences. Each of these Cultures can be played against each other for 15 completely different battles!
The Art!! We have collaborated with 14 Artists and they have created 115+ unique pieces of exciting hand created artwork for this project!
Castle Assault is a brand new and unique gaming experience combining the ferocious onslaught of Tower Defense games with the strategic elements of CCGs and progressive advancement of RPG's. Castle Assault seeks to break the mold of traditional card games and organically extract the most enjoyable parts of these different genres and distill them into a standalone concept.
Castle Assault is a customizable card game AND NOT a 'collectible' type of Trading Card Game. You get everything. There will not be 'random booster packs', only additional Culture expansions to further multiply the depth of gameplay and you will always get ALL the cards to challenge your gameplay style. We are actively playtesting 20 amazing new Cultures with over 1500 playtesting rounds recorded. Should our stretch goals be met we are extremely excited to bring these expansions to you.

The $28,000 funding target falls considerably short of the costs required to Illustrate with 14 artists, Manufacture a game, Ship it to us, Ship the game to you and cover the Kickstarter fee, however, we consider this a joint development project and as such we are taking a number of costs to bring this exciting game to realization with you. Please know EVERY contribution you make is sincerely appreciated and moves us toward our goal!
Risks and challenges
We have identified 3 risks associated with Castle Assault project realization; Manufacturing, International Shipping, and our Art Assets.
To mitigate the risk associated with Manufacturing we have identified 5 potential manufacturers and received quotes from each. Each manufacturer has its strengths; cost, minimum quantity buy, or manufacturing location. Dependent on the final pledge level, we will downselect to one manufacturer based on our internal weighting of the above factors. Proactively with our two most competitive quotes from our manufacturers we have obtained mfg. approved bleed files as well as other associated periphery requirements to initiate a contract.
To burn down the risk associated with International Shipping we have identified a fulfillment location based in the UK. This location has been recommended to us through industry contacts.
Challenges associated with Art is largely based on our reward levels to include backer representative imagery. We have our artists primed and on-call and upon conclusion of the project (and the Kickstarter 14 day pledge collection window) we can compensate our artists to begin work. Our talented group of artists clearly understand the impact of this timeline and have made arrangements on their workload to ensure their work is completed quickly but with quality representative of this project.

Every night and day Castle Assault is raw passion and since its genesis 2.5 yrs ago we have continuously improved this product with play-testers in numerous states, conventions, hobby shops, and meet-ups all culminating and incorporating your feedback. Weekends are dedicated to playtesting, garnering feedback, and hammering out all possible kinks. 2014 was, and 2015 is an all-out, all-hands-on-deck effort to deliver the most solid, balanced, and enjoyable gaming experience to You.
