In the late Roman republic, four noble families try to assume power over the strongest nation in the old world.
Gain the most popularity by affecting the four influential areas of everyday Roman:
- Expand the Roman sovereignty through military campaigns
- Exploit riches and supply the Forum
- Exhibit your power by offering the best shows in the Games
- Extend your political influence by giving away exclusive privileges to the decadent senators
Global Game - English/German First Edition
The first edition of Rome will be published in English and German.
Rome is not a language-dependent game, i.e., it can be easily localize the game to other languages.
How to play "Rome"?
The game will play through five rounds of four phases:
- Rolling Power dice (determining turn order)
- Placement of Power dice
- Resolution of Power Dice
- Scoring and Cleanup
After five rounds, players tally their points and the player with the most points wins the game and is declared the first of the Imperator.
Rule Book* (English beta rules)
* Please note that rules are not final and we may be making changes before the game is published.

Rome is schedule to have a pre-release at the upcoming Spiel `15 in Essen, Germany. We will demo the game and we will have (very!) limited copies that will be sent directly from our manufacturer to the convention. You are all invited to visit us on our booth:
Hall 1 D-146
You can add more games and other rewards via Pledge Manger, post funding.
Our company has developed the game to a point where we are ready to produce it. As this is our 9th published game board, most of our capital was invested in our previous games and we need your help to get a better production value for Rome.
Each backer can literally make the game better by allowing us to invest in better components than our very limited budget can support.
A successful campaign will also allow our designing team to push forward additional game designs towards publication. Please visit our website to find out more.

Thank you! :)
Risks and challenges
"Rome" is our 9th KS project and we have a lot of experience with the risks and challenges that we might face while fulfilling this project.
Delays in production:
We might still face some unexpected delays during the 3 steps of production: graphic design (corrections), printing and quality checks.
Delays in logistics:
We might face some delays in shipping the games, with ocean freight, importing and customs process and with final distribution.
To sustain and fulfill rewards, we have signed a top quality printer who specializes in complex board game production (e.g., Agricola).
Game production has already started, so no delays in production are expected and first copies might be available during the upcoming Spiel (October 2015) in Essen, Germany.
The main uncertainty factor will be how many stretch goals we can reach. As we reach more stretch goals, there may be a delay in reward shipment (could even be after the retail version is out in the market) as specialized copies might take a bit more time to be ready for shipment.
We might split fulfillment into two stages: base game and stretch goals so you can enjoy your copy of Rome as soon as possible.
Shipping the rewards to your personal address is a great feat to any publisher and we might need 2-3 shipments to get all of the components to your doorstep. Please be patient and acknowledge the time and effort we are investing in order to get ALL of your rewards.
Money Back Guarantee Policy
As this is our 9th KS project, we have already invested a significant budget to produce the game and bring it to a point where it is ready for printing. We have already signed our manufacturer and have a very tight production schedule. Thus, we have decided to go ahead with the following 100% money back guarantee policy:
If you do not receive your rewards by the end of July 2016, a refund will be issued through your Amazon Payments account*.
We took into account all delays we encountered in our previous projects and we can assure that 100% of your pledge will go directly to our manufacturer.
It is the backer's responsibility to provide his (correct) address within a reasonable time frame. Any delays on the part of the backer will not be covered by our 100% money back policy.
If a package is not delivered due to a backer fault (giving a wrong address, not claiming the delivered package from the post office, etc.), the backer may be requested to pay additional shipping fees for the item to be sent out again.
Any delays caused by customs inspections or by the backer's country's postal services will not be covered in the 100% money back policy.
We cannot provide tracking numbers to some international locations.
